Came for lunch on a Friday at 1:00 PM.
The restaurant is a converted house which provides a variety of seating choices including three small dining rooms, the front porch and outside tables under live oak trees. Â The areas were clean, organized and well decorated. Â The tables are covered with tablecloths and set with flatware on both sides of the plate giving the dining rooms a warm inviting feeling.
I ordered a burger which came with a side of chips and a pickle spear. Â They have a variety of cheeses available from which I selected Swiss. Â The waitress asked how I wanted the burger cooked, which is generally a good sign. Â When the burger arrived you could immediately tell it was not a pre-frozen perfectly shaped patty. Â It was freshly made, thick and cooked just the way I ordered it.... medium-well. Â A very good burger. Â There was a generous portion of potato chips... the kettle style that are thicker with a loud crunch.
The server was friendly, helpful with the menu and attentive.
There is an obvious attention to detail that is reflected in the menu items. Â The food is flavorful, well prepared and visually appealing. Â A combination that is often missing from small town establishments.
Highly recommended.
It is The Hatch pepper season so with that being said we tried the Green Hatch Chili Burger cooked medium with bacon & feta cheese--1 word-- Delicious!!!!
And the next time we are in the Utopia area we will be back to dine here for sure.
This burger is now in my top 5 of best burgers I've ever had!
