The one and only Irish Pub I've ever set foot into while in Stockton. Everywhere else just doesn't seem too inviting. I was introduced to this bar through my good friend and comedian Matt Kettelhake whom hosted a charity stand up comedy night. From the outside, the appearance of this bar looks underwhelming but when you step inside you'll definitely get the Irish pub feel. dark with yellow lighting, booths and all, and of course the fish and chips aroma in the air. Plenty of room on both sides of bar counter. The beers are solid here with a variety of names on tap. The bartenders service at the counter are friendly, attentive, and isn't gender biased especially on a busy night. Tip them well if they are fast to you. The food order took awhile to arrive but to my surprise it looked really good for bar food. Above the standard presentation. I also ordered the calamari and fries. Delicious yet disappointingly small portion but a decent price.
The management has been very versatile in contributing to the community and lending a helping hand to those in need. I highly respect this establishment in this aspect. As many people from Stockton would know, Pacific Avenue is a main strip in Stockton, with that said, the Stockton Police frequent this area a lot especially the late hours. With the stigma Stockton is known for, more frequenting patrons would agree with me that this bar could possibly be the safest bar to go in Stockton.
I've had great experiences with Finnegan's. Great staff and great environment. Not bad. Don't forget to use the 50% off appetizer coupon on the Yelp mobile if its still available.
Fin.
Update:
I just got a great message from the owner which showed me a real interest in customer experience; I'm impressed! Â He shared some information about the bar which tells me its well worth another visit... I'll be headed back this Friday with friends.
Thanks, Tony M., I really appreciated the message!

Dropkick Murphys playing in the background was a good introduction, but it was all country music after that; not quite the "Irish Pub" I had in mind.
The food was bar standard, but tasty. I went with the Hawaiian Chicken Sandwich; the chips were good and the Guinness was cold. The crowd seemed pretty light for a Friday night and, to be frank, there wasn't a lot in the way of diversity.
Decent place, but I think I'll keep looking; it just didn't hold my attention.
This is the only place to be in Stockton. Just make sure you are on the guest list. Meaning you need to become friends with Finnegan on FaceBook. This is the safest place to be. Always something Fun happening here and the drink specials are great. Tony is always giving back to the community.
Thanks Tony and awesome staff! =D
Went here last night with some friends because we wanted to check out their new location (took over where Touche used to be). I like this location better than the last one, the outside area is better lit and easier to find. They still have their two pool tables, dj, small dance floor, and lots of indoor seating. And did I mention that drinks were only $2???! and ALL night?!? I wonder if it's $2 everyday but that is super cheap for a drink.
Review Source:Love this place!! I can't wait to come back here
only reason why I haven't been here lately is cause I.D issues,
they are super nice and the owner is awesome!
I immediately let him know about my situation and he was so
nice and helpful, you would never guess he's the owner of
this place he's so friendly and down to earth,
who says a Mexican girl like me can't have fun in an Irish bar?! Â ^_~
I love Finn's. It is a great bar with a fantastic staff. I always feel safe here, and I find that the people who are here are so nice! People will go out of their way to smile at you or say congrats if you're there celebrating. Even when people bump into you they are nice about it and say sorry. The new finn's is great, just as great as the old finn's maybe a little better, the dance floor is bigger. If I'm going out, I'll go on tuesday and thursday night for karaoke or if I want to dance i'll go saturdays. I don't have a bad thing to say about this place! Thanks Tony, for running a fun and safe place in Stockton.
Review Source:THE only bar in stockton that you dont have to worry about getting shot up at. Love coming here to drink a brew or too and just chill. Place maybe be a little small but is really not that bad. They're a little selective with who they let in , but sometimes im glad they dont just let anyone in otherwise Finn's wouldn't be the safest bar it is in town!:) Â Love their karaoke nights, and they play great music. Cheap drinks & Yummy food. Great place just to casually hang with your buddies.
Review Source:This bar is never my first choice but it is not a bad choice either. It's your typical bar of early to mid 20s. There are pool tables and a dance floor. Music varies from the box to DJ depending on what night it is.
The crowd and bartender are pretty chill. I've never seen anyone get too wild or overly intoxicated or even any fights. I have HEARD of fights here but  not when I was there.
The price of drinks are average and with the right drink, you might only need one. =)
Only reasons i gave it three stars is because it is just an average bar. Come with your friends, have a few drinks, and hang out.
Hands down, best bar in Stockton! I've been going to this bar for about a year and a half now and it's my home away from home.
This bar takes care of you! The bartenders are great! Always friendly and quick. The best crowd! Great drink specials. Hardly ever any fights, because almost everyone knows eachother. I guarantee you, If you go there once you'll be there every weekend. My favorite days to go are on Karaoke nights and Friday and Sat.
And you have to experience ANY of their events. No one knows how to throw a party like Tony!
Also, they recently put in a photo booth that uploads to fb. Lotsa fun! Just be careful... Alcohol + photobooth can be dangerous. I know this from experience.
Well i hope to see you at Finns! =)
Best pub in the area, in fact, Nothern California. Tony, you have surpassed any Irish American Pub I have ever seen in this country from East to West Coast!!! Brilliant atmosphere, Karaoke Nights, dancing, Pool, Beer Pong, The Finnegan's Photo Booth(brilliant!!) and amazing functions almost every week!!!!! Everyone should support local businesses that have a vested interest in their community and a bar where everyone know your name is awesome!!! Love ya Tony mate!! Cheers
Review Source:The bartender was very kind, curtious and caring.. I've only been to this bar one time and it was awhile ago. Can't recall prices, but they do specials; $2 or $3 shots. There was a DJ, but dance floor is a little small. This bar is not really my type of bar, but overall, service was good.
Review Source:I went with friends after coming home from school for Christmas.
The bartender was nice and our drinks were good but the crowd that hung around was kind of weird. They were blasting cock rock so loudly I couldn't even here my friends. All the people that were there were kind of loud and strange. Not my favorite bar but it is in Stockton so what can you expect. As we were leaving some guy told me it was the best bar because he could win a fight with anyone there.......special.
I like that I can almost go on any night and I know someone. Â The bartenders Mark and Chris are great. Â Super friendly, have never had a problem here. Â Can get noisy on Karoke night. Â A great lil Stockton Dive. Â Found that it's a 20's crowd mostly. Â They do serve food till 10p. Â I believe.
VEggie Friendly: Somewhat.
A great place to go with your friends and have a good time.
They have a good selection of brews and drinks to choose from and the prices are good. Â Their food is great and affordable. And the bartenders are always friendly and very helpful.
There is two pool tables available for (4) quarters a game, several big TV's (with something to watch always on), two dart boards and a jukebox.
Karaoke every Tuesday and Thursday night.  Beer Pong every Wednesday and Thursday night.
I've been here once, and remember having a pretty good night. Definitely a fun place to hang out! There's room set aside for a dance floor while the DJ plays, pool tables, and beer pong Wednesdays! I've been on a really busy night when the place was packed, but the bar service was faster than I would have expected. Prices are alright and drinks are good.
Review Source:really cheap drinks and nice bartenders, but the crowd here is not cool at all. Â the regulars (on weeknights) are freaks and realllly creeepy. Â i'm just a regular grad student here tryin to enjoy drinks with my classmates, and i don't like random old drunktards trying to touch me or hit on me... soooo disgusting. i hope to never have to return here again...
Review Source:My 2nd time coming up to Finnegans. Â First time I went, was on a Thursday and it was pretty slow night out there. Â My friends and I gave it another chance on a Friday night and it was real cool. Â Lof of folks that night.. Good mixed crowd and the drinks were reasonably priced.
My friend had a Long Island that was super strong and didn't really taste that good. I stuck to the beer and shots of vodka.. Price was reasonable. I think at one point I ordered two shots of vodka and two well drinks and it came out to about 19 bucks..
They had a DJ that night..He sounded pretty cool. Â A few people danced, but its more of a bar setting than a club... Â
I'd go back.. I want to check out their karaoke night... I haven't tried their food.
This place was pretty cool. The chicken wings are hella good and cheap. Bartender makes some pretty good drinks. There were a bunch of bikers but it was nothing bad, no trouble. Pool is cheap as well and there are darts, but on weekends the DJ takes up the space. My buddy had been here before so it seemed people knew him. Overall it was just a good palce to chill and have a drink.
Review Source:I came here on a Saturday during the Christmas holiday. The crowd consisted of locals. There were mostly older, 40ish looking biker men here. I've been here once before on a Thursday night a couple of years ago, and the crowd was mostly college students. For some reason, there was only one bartender that night, so service was rather slow. Some notes:
3 well drinks = $11
located right next to/connected to Arby's
one small single toilet bathroom
