I went to this place with a group of friends based on their reputation for wings. When I entered I was a little bit surprised, it is not our usual type of place. It definitely has a small-town redneck type vibe to it, but that didn't really bother me at all. On Tuesdays they have a special where wings are $.35 and select beers $2.50. I ordered like 25 hot wings and they came out perfect. Not too big, not too small, and no mutants. I have had wings at a lot of different places and these seem to be the best so far.
Review Source:Like a lot of places in the area this is a place frequented by locals with your typical assortment of bar food. Â The attraction to this place seems to be that is a few different rooms (one for entertainment, one for the bar), a packaged good store, a patio and a nice backyard with a view of a river. Â The menu does have a little bit more than the typical bar appys and grease food which makes up for the misspelling of a Caesar salad (not the first time and won't be the last). Â After reading some reviews on other sites I found out this place had a good rep for wings. Â A lot of smaller dive/sports bar type places typically do a good job with wings too so I was curious to see how they would compare. Â I ordered some spicy garlic wings. Â Unfortunately to say they were mediocre would be kind. Â The sauce was bland, the garlic consisted of clumps of garlic that you get out of bottle at the dollar store, the blue cheese was bad and the celery included a piece of the stalk that didn't belong there. Â I didn't try anything else after that. Â It seemed like I was catching them as a lot of the staff we're getting ready for the night crowd so maybe this was a rushed order. Â I generally like to sample a few other items before reviewing but as a wing connoisseur after leaving with mediocre wings it left such a bad taste in my mouth (pun intended) I had to give it a review.
