  This is one of the best local bars in the area.The only problem I have here is that they lack a kichten,3Olive Vodka and a popcorn machine.The crowd is what you expect out of smalltown america a mixture of every type of person you could think of.The service here is very very very good and they dont get credit for it.Sandusky has very good drink options and the Fireside Lounge is one of them......

  Fireside is a dive but who doesn't love a good dive? And it's a goodie. They pull a mostly relaxed crowd and it isn't hard to strike up a conversation as everyone that goes is pretty friendly. As you would expect, there's often the random local that's stranger than strange but I love that about dives and I seem to be a magnet for it. But if you're not feeling chatty, there's plenty of opportunity to stick to yourself too.
  
  They always seem particular about keeping good bar staff so expect efficiency and consistency. The jukebox is pretty good too but the last few times they've had a DJ set up who will play almost anything you want to hear. Gotta love free tunes.
  
  If I was on this side of town, I would definitely be here more often.
