excellent atmosphere, ambience lets you soak up history while being able to watch sports, and still talk with friends without having to yell.
Smoked meats are outstanding, the turkey melts in your mouth as do the homemade fried mushrooms.
the Jesse James a bountiful sandwich and the portions are just right.
wide variety of beers, and spirits.
enjoyed the three day Finnegan's wake at St Patty's day.
owners very creative and talented.
Said to be the oldest Saloon west of the Mississippi, First Ward provides a new breath of fresh air to a historical bar. We decided to try this place out on a Friday night. The bar was getting busy so we wanted to grab a table and some food before it got too late. The menu is your typical food grub with a twist. The burgers are good and the portions, plentiful; and to add, the garlic, tempura fried green beans are a-mazing. The drinks were just ok. I would have gone broke if I wanted to get drunk. However, with the VERY diverse crowd and a great band, First Ward provided us with a wonderful evening.
