Customer service is not a priority in this establishment. Â Being there on a Saturday nigh we expected Ohio state football game to be on, but we being for the Detroit area wanted to see if he bartender would change one of the 6 televisions to the World Series game being played. Â One of the other televisions had the Notre Dame game on and they would not change it due to the bartender wanting to watch that game instead of pleasing the customers. Â All in all, this place is a typically dirty dive bar.
Review Source:I was highly disappointed in what locals call 'The Fish Bowel'...This place sucks! Their fishbowl drink comes in a fishbowl that you can keep but the drink tastes like blue koolaid. The staff is not attentive or friendly I went there with one person and the bartender was so busy talking to the only other person there ( a total of 4 patrons in the entire bar) we literally had to flag her down for our bill. Will not be returning on any future trips.
Review Source:When I think of a great Put-In-Bay bar it's The Fishbowl. I love a bar that's barely a dive, but has it's own personality and style. Definitely try out their Fishbowl drink. It literally comes in a small fishbowl (with no fish of course). I recalled it tasting like a sex on the beach, but better.
Definitely give this place a stop to unwind and relax in its by the sea atmosphere and drinks.
If you go to Put in bay to drink one of the places you have to stop at is the Fish Bowl. Although their drink "the fishbowl" wasn't as strong as I expected, it is still fun to drink a good mixed drink from an actual fish bowl. Not a large place so when it's busy, there is usually no seating but during the summer they have bands and singers playing for good entertainment.
Review Source:The fishbowl is the dive bar of the island but I would have to say it was probalby my favorite place here. Â Their specialty is thier fish shots where they serve you your shot in a test tube stuck in the mouth of a rubber fish! The juke box has a good variety of tunes and it seems to attract the more eclectic types of all ages.
