  Bad food with a good view. Just got back from a week in the Western U.P. If you want a good meal try the Root Cellar or Gogebic Lodge instead. Service at Fish Tales was much to be desired. We had their fish fry this past friday it was average. The word on the street is earlier this month this establishment was involved in a despicable event involving a elderly man in need of medical attention and not helping him. Sounds made up but everyone around the lake confirmed. I won't be going back to this establishment.

  This to to Brenda who posted  - I can't believe that you would post a review for your own restaurant! See my review that I posted (which I also posted last week on Fish Tales - 2 words). I didn't want to write your name on the site, but I had asked around and being a very small  town, we found out that John and yourself are the owners. What a joke!
  
  My wife and I went to dinner at Fish Tales while visiting the UP this summer.  It wasn't very clean and food was not good. I had the fried fish and it was very greasy and mostly just fried batter. Our waitress was extremely rude and was rarely around. We waited for 20 minutes for our bill and never saw our waitress so I finally had to ask another waitress if I could speak to the manager and she said that our waitress was actually one of the owners! At that point, I just paid in cash what I thought our bill was and left. We would definitely not go there again.

  This is a resort that has a small restaurant next to the lake, with nice views.  This review is for the restaurant.
  Basic sandwiches and some fish dinners   I had grilled grouper, which was ok with just a little bit of spice.  Wine list is basic with only house wines.
  
  Ok, if you are hungry and nearby as there are limited choices.  The view of the lake is a plus.
