We stopped here while shopping on Paseo Dr. Very cool, trendy restaurant. All the sandwiches and salads were good. The Crepes were amazing! You have to eat the Crepes. You won't be sorry.

Good for happy hour if you're looking for something low-key and suitable for children. If you go for breakfast and intend to stay a while and use their wi-fi, BE WARNED!!!!! I was there this morning to try their breakfast but was handed a laminated sheet of paper with my check notifying me of the 1 hour wi-fi limit and that I would be charged an additional $12/hour to use the Internet. Keep in mind, my husband and I both ordered full breakfasts and coffee drinks and there was NEVER anyone waiting for a table.

Needless to say we left because it felt so unfriendly to receive the notice with our check. To me, that note translates to "Please leave now". Unbelievable...

Love this place. Great atmosphere inside and out. Live music. Great spot to people watch. Had a yummy half tuna sandwich and side  salad  for around $6.00. Hard to find that anywhere on El Paseo. Great coffee and pastries. Went three times while I was in the desert.

My husband and I stumbled on this place as we strolled along El Paseo. We didn't have time to sit down but I was so taken aback by the vibe, offerings and help and couldn't leave empty-handed. They serve breakfast all day (including brûlée oatmeal!!) and happy hour daily.

After sampling all, yes all, of the gelato flavors, (the server was so helpful and friendly) we ordered some to-go and left on our way. I was so intrigued by the place I realllllly wanted to go back for happy hour. Did a little Yelp search after we got home and was so sad to see the poor reviews. I decided that my first experience was such good one that I would disregard the reviews and try the sit down menu for myself.

Oh-MY-GOSH!!!  This place checks all my very hard to meet boxes.  Great food, excellent value, yummy coffee (although the mugs were slightly stained), delish desserts (hello chocolate croissant) awesome happy hour and good people watching. We don't live in the area but visit often and will DEF be back.

BTW-we asked the server what gives with the poor Yelp reviews...she did say they get slammed for breakfast and have been short-staffed.

Really good smoked turkey sandwich on whole grain bread , I would suggest adding on the cranberry and alfalfa add-on's, that would have made it AMAZING, but it was still pretty good. The fruit was yummy and fresh. You should definitely order the desserts they have, I go the shortbread bunny face ( because of Easter time! ) and it was delish, but the hard frosting on top was a little too much ( cuz I'm not one for really sweet things ).
One of the servers was friendly and easy to talk to. But the employe outfits aren't distinguishable, and the woman server's shorts were a little uncomfortable fore to look at... If your In a hurry, I wouldn't recommend FIX, but if your pretty relaxed, and are hoping to conversate a bit, then I'd     Say go for it! The prices for everything was pretty good as well.

Horrible service! We waited for 15 min to order at the bar, he was too busy serving older ladies who he knew will give him a better tip. A store at a nearby mall finished their monogram of a leather item I ordered before this waiter got us our drinks.  Let's see what else...oh yeah the waitress leaning over my shoulder to yell at the bar tender about what the wifi code was.  Watching others order from the bar and get annoyed when no one asked them what they'd like to drink, it made you wonder if anyone besides 2 bartenders work here.

We stopped by to have a crepe and coffee. Well, the Tiramisu crepe was horrible, it was filled with what seemed to be butter. Yes, it tasted like a butter bar. Not even a good one. We agreed that life is too short to eat bad food, so just paid and left. The crepe was sloppy and strange. I can't understand why after so many bad reviews there is no change. I went there once 1 year ago and it was just so, so. My husband went there with a friend and he wasn't pleased either.

There are no words to describe how TERRIBLE this place is!  We were there tonight and by 6 they had run out of pizzas!  It's a PIZZA PLACE!  That would be like Starbucks running out of coffee!  The wait for food is ridiculously long and the food just OK.  The servers are so incredibly inept that the whole things seems more like an episode of Punk*d than a restaurant.  Will NEVER return!  Oh and there's ONE restroom and it's shared between men and women!  I had to wait forever to use it.

Expecting a wonderful experience turned into a potentially fatal one. When explaining our young son's life-threatening nut allergy when ordering we were assured that his grilled cheese would have no contact with any nuts, as they were only used in the espresso area. As we were waiting for our meal to arrive, we glanced over the menu only to find walnut crepes. (This imposes a huge risk because when being cooked on the same griddle that our upcoming grilled cheese was on, the nut oils can leave a residue.) The most disappointing was their response to us when bringing this to their attention. The waiter was smug and brushed it off as if we merely didn't like something. Not offering to make him something new, I finally had to explain to him that I would be personally holding this restaurant responsible for my son's death if not resolved. What a disappointment that I can never again support this resurant because I love their quiche (hence getting that extra star rating)

oh geez, my boyfriend wanted to come back to Fix to give it another shot cause he loves the ambience of the place, and I give him credit for that, the place is pretty cool to hang out it-but that's if you just want to hang out and NOT eat.

OWNER/MANAGEMENT are you listening to any of the feedbacks you are getting on here?! I don't blame the staff at Fix, I blame the head of the place for the inconsistency and not taking advantage of the location the restaurant it is in and making it the best place it possibly can be.

It wasn't lack of service this time, there was an additional server on board, wooh hoo. So while we did get served, our bacon and eggs took almost 35 minutes to come out, REALLY?! bacon and eggs. and the bacon was BURNT from overcooking in the microwave. toast was rock cold and served with cold cold cold butter. sigh....

Such a miss because the location is awesome and they have good coffee and while I haven't had their pastries, they look good.

Now every time we drive by it to go to the Daily Grill, Tommy Bahamas Restaurant or other place, we just shake our heads saying we feel bad for the patrons who are sitting down and just waiting for this place to get their act together.

Let me preface this review by saying that I really am a pretty understanding and patient person...However, the service at this place is HORRIBLE which is a total bummer because its a really cool space.... Hip decor and a really nice outdoor seating area. This place could/should do really well. We arrived and were not greeted... We wound up taking a place at the bar as we had a tee time to make and didn't want to wait for a table to be turned over.  While sitting here and waiting over 45 minutes for basic egg dishes, we witnessed 5 separate parties cancel their orders and storm out. Another gentleman walked in and asked if his waitress had left? What the hell is going on in this place?! Gordon Ramsey would have a field day in this place! The chef was in and out of the kitchen rather than staying put and cooking.... And the waitresses look like a couple chickens with their heads cut off.  I hope management reads this and takes the review to heart because this is not a business.... It's a joke! FIX this place!

I recommend not coming here unless you are in the most easygoing of moods: relaxed, calm, not too hungry, not too thirsty, good hair, good skin, pretty okay with other humans, etc.

Because, well... the service is kind of ridiculous here. Our server/hostess was very friendly, but actually forgot about us after seating us. After waiting around for quite a while after we'd decided on the menu, I had to get up twice; once to ask another server about her, and when that didn't do anything, again to hunt her down. At a later point in the meal, we had to wait a long time before we could flag her down to order an extra dish because we she was drawn into a lengthy conversation with other patrons. Later, she abruptly raised the umbrella over our table without talking to us and we had to move it back so the sun wouldn't be in our eyes. Gah.

Besides that, the food was pretty good, especially the happy hour items. I enjoyed the spinach dip, served with a crazy huge pile of chips. The sangria was strong and tasty, but had no fruit in it. The breakfast crepe, sadly, was very bland. The outdoor seating area was the best part--it would have been a dreamy experience if it weren't for the poor service.

Very cool, hip place that is actually affordable on El Paseo.

Go for their happy hour. They have great deals and you get a lot of bang for your buck. Order the wedge salad (it's big enough for 2), but have them put the dressing on the side... it's a little too much dressing.

The garden salad also looked amazing.

    Great place to people watch.

As locals, we are asked frequently to recommend restaurants. The food was very good. The service was a bit of a problem. The server tried her absolute best. She was working by herself, which was very poor planning by the owner of the restaurant. She was bussing tables, greeting guests, bringing out drink orders, selling pastries, and serving the food. At a minimum, the kitchen staff should have been helping her. Everything worked there, except the service. Hope they get better. Nice place.

This place only has one thing holding it back, the service is SLOW.  While we fortunately have been here enough that we are recognized and can get the staff's attention, it is unfortunate that we see many sit unattended that end up leaving before having the opportunity to experience this otherwise GREAT PLACE.  The style and finishes are unique, the food and drink are always fresh and spot on and the staff are friendly.  Here is hoping they can speed things up as I really want to see this place stay around.

Great decor, average good, slow service

Loved the decor but not enough to go running back again.  All of the meals we ordered were just average and the service was slow at every stage - sounds like a signature trait given the other reivews. I was surprised to see so few outdoor tables when they have so much space.

My new favorite hangout on El Paseo (not that many exist), I love the atmosphere here!! The bar is a beautiful quaint area with a few booths and chairs around the bar area. Then there is also a bakery on the other half. My favorite was the Nutella cappuccino, House Sangria, pastrami sandwich, tomato soup, and flat bread pizza (yes sadly this was one sitting). Best Pastrami sandwich I've had in the desert so far, very lean on fresh baked sourdough (I don't like Rye) with small square cut pickles. The bartender, Molly, was a delight!! She had the best suggestions, we ended up finishing up a Laker game there. Once it got dark they brought the patio heaters out, great place to people watch as well.

My husband and I love this cafe. The crepes are amazing, staff is nice and the atmosphere is lovely. Try the Spanish crepe or ricotta/peach/cinnamon crepe. And definitely order a Vincente: coca cola, espresso and vanilla over ice. So so good.

Stopped here NYE 2012 before Musashi for a glass of wine. The heat lamp took the chill off the, we could hear the reggae band perfectly playing upstairs at Tommy's. Our server was very nice. We had to stop in as the bakery smelled so good. It was fun to sit outside and watch all the drunk seniors wabble by! They were having a good time for sure. We did too. Thanks - Fix. Cheers.

Stopped into having lunch today, and we waited 10 minutes before someone even acknowledged us, finally got service and placed our order.  Oh and a family waited for service 20 minutes and after a while thy got up and left.
Service was extemely slow for not being that busy, and once our sandwiches arrived, the chicken salad sandwhich was hard as a rock. And the veggie sandwhich didnt even come with any condiment.

The FIX is pretty new and awesome.  They have the BEST cup of hot cocoa I know of.   And it's a LARGE cup.   They have food too.   And a bar.     They have an awesome outdoor patio area with a lovely water fountain.   They are pet friendly.    The service and servers are awesome.    There are often classic cars parked in front.    I have seen a tesla, a Porsche, a rolls, a Bentley, a Mercedes, and more.     This is about a mile from me, so my canine son and I often walk there.     The bathrooms are clean.     I'd rendezvous with you here anytime.   Enjoy.   Peace.    :-)
