    Flemings Steakhouse
Flemings truly is a five star dining experience from beginning to end. I made an online reservation for two on a Saturday. Our reservation was for seven o'clock. My guest and I arrived about five minutes early.   As soon as we walked in the door, the hostess introduced herself and asked if we had a reservation. Our reservation was confirmed and we were seated instantly. After we were seated the hostess explained the electronic wine list and said our server would be right with us. Within a few minutes our server was at our table explaining the specials and taking our drink orders. In moments she returned and asked if we were ready to place our order.   My guest ordered the porcini rubbed filet mignon with asparagus, and I had the special that evening which was prime rib with garlic mashed potatoes.
We sat and enjoyed our drinks and observed the surroundings.  It was nice to dine out and not be bombarded by television or loud music. The light was low which complemented the dark wood that was everywhere and set a very elegant tone. A large wine collection inside of a glass room added to the ambiance.  Everything from the plates, to the table, and leather chairs said fine dining. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. They checked in with us often. They made sure everything was just right as if we were their only customers. Our glasses were always full and I felt like we never had to wait for anything.
After about thirty minutes our food arrived.  When I took the first bite I knew master chef Russell Skall nailed it. He started out with USDA choice prime cut beef (less than three percent of beef sold in the US. receives this certification.) The filet mignon was lightly seasoned, grilled perfectly, and served with gorgonzola cream sauce. The asparagus was freshly steamed and lightly buttered. The prime rib was seasoned with salt and pepper only and grilled rare. It was one of the best cuts I ever had. The mashed potatoes were not over seasoned or over cooked and the cheese gave them a nice smoky flavor. My guest and I thought this was a great meal.   Our server checked back to see how everything tasted and we both replied, "perfect." Not only did the food taste delicious, but it also had an artistic presentation. The portions were just the right size.  My guest and I had saved room for dessert.  We chose chocolate lava cake, and it was wonderful. It was a rich chocolate cake that had a Belgian chocolate center and was served with ice cream, then topped with pistachios.
The evening was a huge success, and we both had a great time. Having a good meal here was about more than just the food, it is was a wonderful experience: the lighting, the soft music, the warm earth tones that radiated from the wood all added to the atmosphere. Flemings is a little on the expensive side.  It costs about two to three hundred for two adults with drinks, but the food and the service make it well worth it. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure that your experience is one that you will remember.
The next time you would like to have a wonderful evening out, call Flemings.  Be sure to make a reservation which is a must for the weekends when crowds can be large. Whether you like steak or seafood, Flemings has something for everyone.   I would suggest anyone that loves food to visit one of their three locations, and don't forget dessert.
