Simple menu, outstanding pizza.  Wonderful pepperoni!  Far easier to deal with than downtown Burlington, and a brewery right next door.

Yes, we are fans for sure! Love this place and the whole concept. However this past Friday we were staking out a table which is part of the deal. A party of 8 was done eating; they were still there when we left an hour plus later. Could not believe they were allowed to stay that long just to continue chatting while many were waiting for a table. We were trying to impress a friend who had not been to folinos year and it was a hard sell for her. We, of coarse will be back but maybe a limit should beset for those who have finished eating!

Out.....friggin.....standing pizza.  Got a cohple growlers at fiddlehead, had the scallop and bacon pizza which is to.die for then a pepperoni, basil and onion number that was fantastic.....and we k.ow our damn pizza.  Had American Flatbread the night before and that was amateur night compared to Folinos......

I wish I could give this more than 5 stars. It deserves 10....really.
The pizza is phenomenal. It's a good value for the quality that you get. We usually get a pepperoni and then one that is whatever we feel like. Thus far, we've not been disappointed. The crusts are wood-fired perfection. Not too bland, and not too thick and bready. There's no greasy pan, so all you get is a light, crisp, airy crust. They're not quite flat-bread, but not what you would be from a chain pizza place.
The pepperoni is quite generously laid out. I'm not sure where they buy it from, but in the wood fired oven it gets crisped around the edges. It's not very greasy either. The cheese they use is good quality and most importantly used in moderation. You're not going a slice that has so much greasy cheese it just drops off.
The sauce is quite good. I'm pretty sure they make it there, because there's been differences in the flavors. Not a huge difference, it's always been quite good, but you can tell sometimes it's got more spices in it, other times it's more tomato-y.
The atomsphere is very relaxed. BYOB, but there's a brewery in the building which is OK. (Not the best, to be honest, but good enough).  Your food will be brought to you but you're going to have to get your own dining ware....Not a bad thing. It's sort of like visiting family...Right down to the mis-matched furniture!
The people there are pretty amazing. They'll remember you if you go back. They'll chat with you if they're not too busy, and of course they'll customize your pizza (if you don't want it quite as charred, or even more charred, just let them know!). I love going here, and I'm going to miss it when I leave.

I love wood-fired pizzas for the quick cook and rustic style, but the thing to look for is good technique from the amount of blistering on the edges of the crust. Our pizzas were completely burnt and most of the edges of the crust were inedible. We chose a margherita with pineapple and and the pesto, roma tomatoes, and fresh mozzarella, which had an olive oil base. The fresh mozzarella cheese was amazing and flavors were good, but the burnt edges were something I could not get over. Upon closer inspection on their menu, their pizzas were advertised as charred on the outside. I would find it difficult to know anyone who likes their pizzas cooked this way. All a matter of preference I suppose.

One word. FANTASTIC.  Meatball, olive and red pepper pizza was to die for.

This is a fantastic place for delicious pizza and fresh salad in a low key environment.  The pizza combinations are unusual and OUTSTANDING.  The ingredients are all so fresh tasting.  There's a brew pub next door where you can pick up a fresh beer and bring it over to pour in a frosty glass.  Great spot for kids, great spot for adults.  We will definitely go back!

OMG ... THE BEST EVER.  We were looking for a place to go with the kids after a stop at the Teddy Bear Factory so I went on to YELP to see  what was near.  Folino's Pizza popped up with good reviews--and it was only a mile down the road.  I knew it would be good but ... WOW.  It is so much more than good.  If it hadn't been for Yelp, we never would have stopped there.  It is a red corrugated metal building that has zero cache from the outside-- but the minute you walk in you see that it is loaded with personality.  Cement floors, a huge long wood table that we (comfortably) shared with another family, the frosty glasses for the beer you can buy next door, and THE BEST PIZZA I HAVE EVER HAD made it memorable lunch. The people with whom we shared the table live nearby and said they always come for lunch because it is SRO at dinner time.  I know why.  It is worth the wait.  We have a place across the lake but will make it a point to come back.

Folino's shares a building with Fiddlehead Brewing, which is where you stop to grab a growler to go with your pizza; can you get any better?

Yes, you can--Folino's has a freezer full of frosted beer mugs in which to pour that Fiddlehead beer! (I guess you COULD pour other BYOB into those mugs, but why would you?)

The BYOB atmosphere extends to all aspects of the restaurant--counter ordering, get your own plates/flatwear/napkins, bus your own table. I love these kind of restaurants because I don't feel as though I'm inconveniencing anyone, and I can be more relaxed.

The pizza is phenomenal, you can tell that the ingredients are fresh and that everything's done by hand (actually watching it happen in the open kitchen helps to confirm this!). Don't hesitate to order an "odd" pizza--Folino's knows what they are doing, scallop, bacon, lemon zest & 3 cheeses ABSOLUTELY belong together on a pizza! This is definitely a place I will return to!

Came here for the first time last weekend. This place is the best. Some of the best pizza I've ever had, especially with the growlers from Fiddlehead next door. I used to go to flatbread all the time but now I think I'll be coming here more. Much more low-key and a very cool atmosphere.

Excellent food, great atmosphere, and frosty beer glasses! What else could you want from a pizza place? We enjoyed 5 different pizzas and a large family style salad (we came with a big and hungry group). Everything that I ate I really enjoyed. It's worth making a trip to Folino's for the pizza crust alone! Grab a growler of beer from next door, order a pizza or two, put on a record (YES there is a record player and lots of records to choose from) then sit back and relax. The service was great and the food was even better. I give this place 5 stars and I'll certainly be coming back again next time I'm in town.

Thin crust wood fired pizza with fresh local ingredients. Best pizza I've had in a lonnnnnng time. Grab a growler of Fiddlehead beer right next door or a bottle of wine from across the street and enjoy.

Absolutely delicious pizza and great atmosphere. Very friendly staff, nice cold beer mugs for your BYOB and decent prices. Will definitely return. The buffalo chicken pizza was perfect as was the margherita pizza  with carmelized onions. They could use a few more tables but otherwise perfect and so relaxing!

This was some great pizza. We tried a pesto pie and classic red with mushroom. Good stuff. The salads we had were very fresh and tasty as well. The staff is friendly and ordering at the counter on their iPad system was painless. Also, they have a freezer full of frosty glasses for beer from the Fiddlehead brewery next door.

Nice people and good pizza. Kind of unique that you can bring your own booze or buy beer next door at the brewery. There are several spots we love to eat at in Shelburne so maybe we should just sell our home and move there!

Our new favorite pizza place.  Thin crust, great toppings - LOVED the mushroom / onion one.  Salad was crisp, delicious, and big enough to split for two.  Home made mustard vinaigrette dressing was tasty and tangy.  Prices are very good.  BYO, with a vineyard across the street and an excellent brewery next door.  Good for kids, too.

Basically has everything that Flatbreads has except for the long waits ...

We really enjoyed Folino's.  We just happened upon it one Saturday when out for a drive.  The people working here are incredibly friendly.  You order at the counter and the food is brought to you.  There are cold mugs in a freezer put your soda or beer you can get next door as it is a Byob.  Oh yeah the pizza is very good too.  We can't wait to go back.

A much better experience than anticipated...the atmosphere is great and extremely low-key.  It's sort of BYO everything (get up and get your own napkins, plates and drinks).  I kind of liked that...made it feel more like a place to hangout and coincidentally eat some good (not great, but good) pizza.

Bring over a growler from next door and you've got a nice thing going.

One tip, go easy on the garlic!  They pile it on.

The food was good, liked the crisp tasty dough, the margherita was good, not overwhelmed with topping, would like to try another variety before deciding if I like the pizza enough to want to go there often. Probably not the best place in the summer, it was as hot as the wood fire   baking the pizza.

The salad was very nice and it came in an ice cold soup bowl, most welcome on a hot night.

Need to have some ice available to have with the drinks.

You can bring in a growler from next door, unfortunately the heat in the room warmed up the beer in no time.

Seating was not a problem on a week night.

    It was a good value...

Best pizza I have ever tasted.

It's BYOB -- Grab a growler of Fiddlehead's IPA (the brewery shares the building) and enjoy.

My only gripe is that it needs a few extra tables that can seat more than 4 people.

This is a relatively new restaurant in the area...and I always like checking out new things...

We pulled into the parking lot on a random mid-week late afternoon (after calling to confirm they were "not too busy".  After a little finagling we wedged our truck into a makeshift parking spot.

Once inside we discovered despite the full parking lot, the restaurant did not appear to be very busy, just as they had said.  I thought the restaurant had a good vibe.  The atmosphere was warm and inviting.  It was kind of industrial and modern meets natural and organic.  It is a metal pole building, so by nature it is kind of industrial.  Some of the walls are metal, the floor is polished concrete and the heating duct work is exposed.  The colors used throughout were dark and earthy - they felt good.  There is a metal scaffold of sorts built in to give the big open room dimension and character and camouflage all of the electrical wires.  The tables are custom made from rebar and wood and some stone.  There is a nice stacked stone wall being built to camouflage the kitchen work station.  The disappointing factor here being that seating is VERY LIMITED.  There was one table that sat 6 or so, two tables that sat 4 and 2 tables that sat 2.  then there were 3 pub tables to STAND AT and another counter/bar to STAND AT. Outside there was 2 picnic tables and a table that sat 4 (that appeared to be drug out there from inside).  When I go out to eat....I want to sit down and relax, not stand.

So, pizza is "the boyfriends food".  When he eats pizza he eats 6 of the 8 slices of a traditional New York Style Pizzeria Pizza....and would eat all 8 if I weren't around.  I have a strict 2-slice limit and I am FULL.  So when we got our $13 "Large (Margherita) Pie" and it was basically personal pizza size for ME...it was disappointing.  These are hand tossed Vermont-style, wood-fired flatbreads, I should have known better.  Had I known they were so small I just would have ordered 2 for us and it would have been enough food...just expensive ($26 for pizza for 2!)

The margherita pizza was good, but nothing made it stand out from any other pizza I have ever had.  The basil was fresh and delicious, but the dough, sauce and cheese were average.  We ate our pizza snack and I went home and made dinner.  :-(

So my summary:  Limited parking. Limited seating.  Take-out style service (order at counter and pick up your food when called). Nice Atmosphere. Small portions.  Price was a little high for portion size - but acceptable to me.

I would go back.  I would like to try some of the other pies - and the locally brewed Fiddlehead beer!  (Restaurant is BYO and Fiddlehead Brewing is attached to the North end of the building so you can get growlers for take-out to enjoy with your food!)  Folino's even provides frosted glasses!!  I think this would be a fun place to go with a group of friends.

What Flatbread should be. Unpretentious and delicious. Try the bacon scallop! Good beer next door door, too.
