My husband and I have enjoyed - thoroughly - two meals here (months apart). Â The first experience was so good (except we did wait a few minutes to be served - but, we enjoyed the cozy atmosphere of the bar). Â In fact, we ate in the back of the bar and loved the tasty pasta and the melt-in-your-mouth steak covered in buttery mushrooms. Â The first trip happened to be my husband's birthday - they treated him to a special dessert - delicious! Â Went back again just a few days ago. Â We took our favorite seats at the back of the bar and were immediately waited on! Â My hubby had more pasta and I had steak and lobster (also had salad, buttered mushrooms, baked sweet potato and a yummy turtle cheesecake dessert. Â So much food (again), we enjoyed our "left-overs" the next night. Â We will be going back!!!
Review Source:I've tried and tried to give this place a chance. Â As of my last visit, I will not return.
I went to Fontana's recently with my girlfriend and another couple. Â We were provided drinks but our waitress disappeared when it came time to order dinner. Â We clearly got the attention of some other servers who ignored us. Â We finally went to find her and practically dragged her back to the table to take our orders! Â The Italian entrees were clearly sub-standard - thick, tough raviolis and gnocchis with a mediocre red sauce. Â This type of service and food has been the norm for this place on most of my visits.
I never root against local, small businesses, but in this case I wouldn't miss them if they closed their doors...
