Oh Fred's, how I miss thee.

While you were not the greatest pizza I ever ingested, you were still some of the better pies for southern Ohio. As a college student in Portsmouth, I could agree with your prices, and the quantity of your pizza.

There were times I remember driving through snow just to get some of your ooey-gooey, cheesy and pepperoni goodness.

Fred's actual restaurant, which is located on the strip in Wheelersburg could be considered a breath of fresh air to a lot of the places that vacate the local area. They have a giant traffic light in the middle of the building, with some sort of water fountain underneath. Booths, and tables line the walls, which extend out into a sun room. This place is extremely accommodating for groups and crowds, and to be honest, I don't know if I've ever been here when it WASN'T busy.

The food is good for the area you're in. Especially if you're trying to avoid the dime a dozen chains.

There use to be this amazing desert my hubby and I would share, but the name escapes me.

One word of advice: AVOID KARAOKE NIGHT. It's bad enough it's loud from the groups of people, imagine having to scream at your dinner mates over a badly sung rendition of Loretta Lynn songs all night.

The staff is very friendly and it's very busy, which means the local's like the place.

I started off with the fried baked potatoes and they were very good. I then had the sausage pizza and it was terrible. The bottom was very soft and could only be eated with a fork / knife. I'd give it 2*, but restaurants are very limited in this area and I didn't get direahha, so it gets a 3*.

Staff was very friendly and prompt. If i had to do it again, i'd get a stromboli.

It's a dry town, so don't try to order any alcohol, but not their fault.

This place is ok staff are very friendly and accomodating. I tried their onion rings because it is highly recommended by one of the local that i know of and it is very good.
