Went family peach picking today and when we got done it was lunch time. Went onto yelp saw great reviews. Got there at 11 am when opened on a Friday few tables filled. The front part is a store very cute. Nice variety menu. Do have a child's menu as well . Limited wine by glass selection would have liked to see more country choices like French . Ordered verde , shrimp poboy and turkey and smoked Gouda melt  good side choices had to have onion rings based on reviews. Desserts where just so so. Save the money and calories
Review Source:It's not often that I venture outside the Perimeter for dinner with so many options close at hand. Â Had visited the French Market 18 months ago and found they were going through some typical growing pains new restaurants face, such as erratic service and food timing issues. In some ways it seemed as if the proprietors were trying to take on too much at once?
But a trusted foodie friend had been back recently and convinced me to give them another try and found a totally transformed experience. It is spotless and immaculate, clearly every lighting and decorating touch has been given careful thought. They've also added a large outside dining area and a spacious banquet room, which was being used for live acoustic music the night we dined.
Started off with a round of Patron margaritas which were made to perfection. A starter of crawfish bread would have passed muster in New Orleans. For entrees we had whitefish with a crab sauce and an order of freshly prepared low country boil. Both were fresh and not overly seasoned, always a delight when a chef has confidence in the seafood! Â Even though we were stuffed and satisfied the gleaming dessert counter beckoned to us and we made surprisingly quick work of two large cupcakes, the red velvet being especially moist and memorable.
Service was attentive without being annoying. Not only a manager but also one of the owners, Rick, stopped by our table briefly to check on us and "make sure everything is perfect" - we had no complaints.
Will definitely be adding the French Market to my rotation of favorites. Â The Jazz Brunch offered on Sundays looks especially appealing, planning to head back down to check that out soon!
Found this place on Yelp while driving back home from Florida. We didn't want to stop at the usual chain restaurants found near outlet malls, so it was a surprise to find such a cute, local restaurant in Locust Grove. Atmosphere was excellent with chic decor and a piano player! The market has a quaint store in the front and once you move towards the bar you see a display case that shows the most delicious looking desserts! We planned on getting some cupcakes on our way out, unfortunately all of the desserts were taken away by the time we finished (it was 9:00 on a Friday, so I'm not sure what was going on). On to the food: a big downside for me was the lack of vegetarian options. I ended up getting Fried Spinach, Red Beans & Rice (I have a feeling this might not be vegetarian; I wish I had asked), and Grilled Asparagus. The spinach was delicious until I got towards the bottom of the plate where the balsamic reduction that covered the spinach got to be too sticky and too sweet. If I'm ever in the area again I would go back to this restaurant just for the beans & rice, and asparagus though; and hopefully get to try the beautiful cupcakes.
Review Source:My family and I dined on a Friday night. This would be our 1st  experience. The atmosphere is very nice, walking into the store front and then the seating area, you are transported to another place.  Our waiter was ok, he had an awkward style, almost as if he was trying not to be a waiter. I ordered the spinach salad with chicken (named the Caroline),  it was good, but too much dressing, I should have asked for it on the side. My daughter and husband ordered the chicken cordon bleu; one was over-fried, almost black, the other was perfect.  I was alittle disappointed, considering the prices..  Everyone loved the Asparagus...
Review Source:I ate here with one other person for a late lunch. Â We walked in confused with the store front because there was not anyone at the hostess stand once we got back to the bar area before the seating area. Â Someone finally came to seat us and give us our menus. Â Looking over the menus, there was not a large selection to choose from, especially for a smaller, cheaper meal. Â Seeing that all of the items were not less than about $10 and full meals, I asked the server if there was a kids menu (to see if there were smaller portions and more of a variety), but the server told me that they only allowed children under 10 for the kids menu. Â Finally making a decision after asking what the soup of the day was, which was some type of seafood soup that the server did not even inform us of until I asked, I order the grilled chicken sandwich with a side of squash and zucchini. Â Before ordering, the server did inform me of chicken tenders that they had, but were not on the menu for $14. Â Obviously for that price, the portion was most likely large so I avoided that as well. Â Having to settle with the grilled chicken sandwich was not what I wanted to do, but I also did not want to pay $12 just for a salad that I only wanted a small portion of. Â The problem was not the price at this time, but more so that there was not much variety at all on the menu, and that the server was not helping. Â The other person with me ordered the hamburger ($13) and was going to order a salad as the side until the server told us it was an extra $3 which is outrageous just for a side salad when you're already paying $13 for the burger. Â Once we got the food, it was just okay. Â It was definitely not worth how much it was. Â My main complaint was that the veggies came in a small bowl which was about 1/4 full of oil, having to shake the oil off each piece as I ate. Â The chicken sandwich was just okay tasting like a grilled sandwich I could have made at home. Â The burger was also just okay, the other person said that it did not even taste like a genuine burger.
Overall, I am rather disappointed with the taste of the food for the price. Â The total ended up being around $26 for the chicken sandwich, a burger, and a tea....just for an okay meal. Â We wanted to find a new, good place to eat, but definitely did not find that today and will most likely not return.
This place is a bit of an anamole for this area. Really out of place but the food is very good. The lunch portions and prices are fair but dinner is pretty pricey for this area. The service is generally terrific and they always seem to have plenty of staff on duty. Definitely worth a try and go when you have some time to enjoy the gift shop. They attempt to be cajun cuisine with a Georgia accent and believe it or not they pull it off nicely. I've been there for the Sunday brunch which as excellent even though not the best value around. They offer occasional live music but are a bit inconsistent with that offering.
Review Source:Got to be one of the best for Locust Grove.Came here for lunch. I would like to come again for dinner on the weekend to enjoy the live music. Â Beautiful interior with quality food. I had seafood bisque that was almost all cream. I would not try this again. I had there signature salad. I cant remember the name of it but it was gigantic. I love this style of food so I would like to try a few more things on the menu before completely making up my mind about French Market. Steer clear of chains and support local restaurants!
Review Source:Stopped here for Sunday lunch during a long road trip. Â Made the mistake of not asking the price of the buffet. Â Turned out to be over $20/person. Â Bloody Mary's had a strong clam taste( waiter insisted there was no clam juice, but something sure smelt and tasted like it) Â and noticed 2 other tables left them unfinished. I fairness some of the dishes were quite tasty and the location was quaint but four of us left with a bill well over $100 (driver had coffee)- others a glass of white wine and were not charged for the blood whatever - it was. Â Lesson learned about asking for price if not offered. Â Eater be ware!!
Review Source:This place was great. Went with my friend for the first time. Waiter Miles was very responsive and informed about the menu and the events that take place. I got the fried chicken sandwich and she got the turkey and Gouda melt. Both really good meals. Recommend on a warm day and evenings.
Review Source:Had great service with our party of 6 for lunch I would give our service a 4 star but the food brought the score down. My Expectations were High but I was a little disappointed the the food though. We all ordered something different and tasted each others meals. Everything was pretty good but did not knock my socks off. Some of my group loved the Baked Goat Cheese and I found it mostly just whipped Goat-cheese (Probably cut with Cream Cheese) with some caramelized onions on top and not enough bread to dip in it. Perhaps more of the caramelized onions or add some sweet peppers would make it more "special"
Gumbo is not chunky but more of a thick smooth texture and I could taste the Medium Brown Roux in it, would have rather have scene and tasted more of the other ingredients in it. the Fried Green tomatoes are sliced very thin so mostly batter taste even though it is a thin batter.  Fried Okra was, well just fried Okra, I do not eat mayo and most of the sauces have mayo as a ingredient,  so I had to skip it  so my Brisket Sandwich the meat was dry but did have good flavor and the bread was good. We got only 2 deserts and one was the Creme Brulee Cheese Cake and the 2 bites I took was fantastic, as well as the key lime. I was not a fan of the STRONG Coffee (Community Brand).  The "Gift Shop" Area is nice to keep some of your crowd busy to look at Trinkets etc. The Ambiance of the place and cleanliness is great and a pretty nice selection of wine and beer. I would go back but would not drive out of my way to take any guests again.
What a pleasant surprise to all of the senses!
My party stumbled across the French Market on a recommendation from a local hotel manager. Â Since I travel all around the country, I get to seek out unique spots to enjoy and this was one of them. Â I really didn't know what to expect as I opened the front door to enter into what could have arguably been a location for a Pottery Barn magazine photo shoot. Â We were greeted within the first 15-seconds and promptly lead to the dining room. Â I initially thought this place was designed by someone from Pottery Barn, but started to think maybe it was Restoration Hardware...
Now for the food, oh the food!
I read the first item on the dinner menu and said out loud "Are you kidding me...Shrimp and Grits"? Â So it's THIS kind of French market! Â Yes! Â No small-portioned, heavy, bland, cream or butter laden white sauces here. Â French as in New Orleans French!
Our waitress promptly took all of our drink and appetizer orders and delivered them before I finished contemplating changing my initial dinner choice. Â I hadn't had good shrimp-n-grits since, well, I was in New Orleans so I stuck to my initial call. Â The waitress asked if I wanted regular grits, or they would be happy to make up some with Gouda cheese. Â She had me at Gouda.
The only problem I had was that two of my guests had never had authentic Cajun shrimp and grits and based on my reaction to how it tasted, they wanted some and I wasn't about to share. Â OK, I did share just a little, but told them to get their own next time!
Yes, I will be back, but I'm not sure I will be able to order anything but what virtually transported me to the memory of a quaint restaurant just off of Bourbon Street.
I did get a nice note from the owners of the French Market and a good reason for some of the lapses of Friday night. Â I can't disagree with an explanation of a crowd on Valentines Night the evening before. Â A huge over-run of customers that can very well deplete the pantry for a holiday weekend....unless you're buying a $zillion worth of supplies, the restaurant supply and stocker put you well down the food chain for a Friday delivery.
There are ways to handle it....but, I given FM&T the benefit of the doubt. Â Most especially with a private note to offer up their apologies.
Some of the food is very, very good although a few of the dishes are just so-so. Â Prices are fairly high. Â Decor is wonderful - rustic elegance. Â Cupcakes are some of the best I have ever tasted. The highly routed French bread is sometimes stale. Â Red velvet cake can be stale - stick with the cupcakes as they sell too quickly to get dried out. Â Favorite menu item other than cupcakes so far is the turkey and smoked Gouda sandwich on the lunch menu. Â Yum! Â Skip the baked goat cheese (bland) and the red beans and rice (adequate at best).
Since we have a virtual foodie desert on the southside of town, I am thankful to have this place as an option. Â However, the wait staff and female owner can be difficult to deal with. Â If I lived in town and had more options, I probably would not be willing to put up with the service issues. Â I suspect that unless a professional management team is brought in and empowered to run the place like a real business that it won't last and I will be stuck with Red Lobster and its ilk. Â A beautiful and quaint space is not enough especially at this price point.
I've only eaten here for Sunday brunch buffet so far, but the food is very good. They also have a live jazz band to provide music during lunch time on Sundays. But be prepared to pay for it! It's currently $21.95 per person for the buffet. Definitely a bit pricey compared to other equally good buffets in the area, but still, the food is good. If you want to get your money's worth, show up with a healthy appetite.
Review Source:Update: When I ate here on August 19, 2012 I wanted to leave a negative review immediately, largely because I was so irritated by the belligerence and arrogance of the owner/manager when I complained about the food, but I decided to wait until I had cooled off before reviewing the place. I eventually got around to it on 12/30, and judging by the response my review elicited from the owner, he hasn't changed. Future reviewers should be prepared for personal and professional insults if they have anything negative to say about The French Market & Tavern. Below is my original review in which I have corrected a couple of factual errors that the owner was kind enough to point out to me.
The large dining room was unpleasantly loud, and the piano player in the corner only contributed to the din. When the couple I was dining with told the server they wanted to share an entree, they were told there would be an $4 "split plate charge." What kind of baloney is that? Beware the so-called "crab cakes" which are actually thin slices of some sort of log of pink paste that contain no hint of actual crab. [I have been informed that the crab cakes are no longer on the menu - good riddance.] I ordered the fried oyster po-boy, and the oysters were large and plentiful. However, the roll they were served on had a crust that seemed to be made of shoe leather, an effect that I have only seen when bread is heated in a microwave oven. I literally couldn't cut it with my knife and fork. When I complained to the owner/manager on both counts (crab cakes and po-boy) he offered nothing more than a defensive argument in return - no apology, no offer to replace the lousy food, no nothing. My bet is that these owners will soon join the majority of new restaurant owners who fail within the first five years.
My husband and I visited The French Market again a week or so ago for a date night. Â It was perfect! Â They've added a few items to the menu - we went with our old favorites - but all the new options sounded delicious. Â The atmosphere was the best this time. Â It felt extra dark in the dining room with a single candle in the middle of the table, and there was a jazz band playing in the front window. Â It was laid back romantic, which is right up our alley (we don't like it too over the top). Â The food was on time, and our waitress, Michelle, was fantastic!
Review Source:What a fantastic place. You want to talk about Atmosphere!! The decor is fantastic and you definitely feel like you are in New Orleans mixed with a little South Georgia. When the weather is nice you can enjoy a comfortable patio out back, but my favorite is to sit at the bar. You get to watch a very professional staff rock out plate after plate of well prepared food. Speaking of the food, I've yet to be disappointed. Red Beans and rice reminiscent of the best I've had in Louisiana, and the Country Cordon Bleu is hard to resist. Not to mention you are close to the draft tower featuring local beers from right here in the same county. We've been waiting for something like this here in Henry County for a while, it's nice to get to go somewhere nice with great food without having to drive into Atlanta and deal with all the traffic.
Review Source:Favorite local place. Nice atmosphere. Love looking at the shop. She always has pretty vignettes. Â Desserts are excellent. Husband had the peanut butter pie and I had the spoonful chocolate cake. Very good. They serve Jailhouse Brew, a local craft beer from my home town Hampton, the slammer wheat is awesome, on par with Sam Adams. It's nice that they support the local economy. Food is very good. Never had a bad experience and I have been there about 6 times now. I do miss the mahi mahi, that was really very good but I guess its a seasonal thing. Not sure about the other reviewer, but my fried okra was great. Shrimp Poboy was good, obviously not NOLA but good. The jumbalaya was also good. They weret stingy with the meat.
Nice to not have to drive to the north side of Atlanta to get the "french market" vibe you typically see in Roswell or Marietta. Saturday nights they have a live Jazz band. Great date night place. You can wear jeans and a nice top, not too stuffy but put a little lipstick on kinda place.
Have had lunch here a few times and the service and quality of food is better when they are not packed. We were first seated in main dinning area near live band but quickly moved as the music was too loud to have a conversation. My wife had delicious ravioli, filling and sauce delicious. I had shrimp po boy - fair. Red beans and rice were seasoned well and hot on arrival. Can't say the same for their gumbo, bland and room temp. Very disappointing. They were also training new wait staff and items were served wrong and not at correct times. Staff did take off the gumbo from bill. I do like their store and was tempted to buy some things. And do try their french market martini...delicious!
Review Source:I was here about two weeks ago and was surprised to find that I was disappointed for the first time with the food. Â The oysters in my po'boy weren't freshly fried, but reheated and therefore, pretty tough little nuggets. Â The jalapeno cole slaw was bland, like they forgot the jalapenos. Â The fried green tomatoes did save the meal and were fantastic. Â Don't order the okra as it is the frozen stuff.
Review Source:Well this is one review that I am excited to write that's for sure!! Well my love affair with this place started ummm I would say about 3 months ago!! My husband and I were driving from Florida to Michigan with the dog and La Quinta hotels are the only ones that basically take dogs- so we pull into Locus Grove check in and now it's time to eat- well I pulled out the trusty phone pulled up yelp and after scrolling through all the junk (waffle house, huddle house, etc) I saw French Market! My curiosity got me! Reading the reviews, I just didn't know! So, my hubby said- "well it's gotta be better than waffle house" we laughed and started our way to the most fabulous place!! The ambiance first off is sooo adorable, like a country store that meets southern chic! When you first walk in the smell of candles- I wish I could put my finger on the scent but it smelled like a hot summer country night- make sense?!? Smelled soo awesome!! And we started looking around at all the cutie patootie nic-naks, reading the pictures with all the saying (which were all soo adorable) and all of a sudden BOOM!! The smell of food! Omg! It was intoxicating!! We got to the counter and were greeted by such a friendly woman, I looked to the left and it was the desert case and cupcakes on top of it- man o man I knew I was in for a treat!!! When we sat down Brigette (the waitress) came up, I never remember waitstaff names but she stuck out and has waited on us all 5 times we've been here!! She was awesome (ask for her when you stop in) she was soo sweet, bubbly, and funny) she took our drink orders and in a flash sh was back- we needed a couple more minutes (lol eveytime we always needed extra time) after studying the menu- for appetizers we have gotten the parmesan grits cake(simply superb), they we two hockey puck size lightly fried and in a balsamic reduction sauce that dressed the plate. We've also had the fried goat cheese and omg!! Those were outstanding too, awesome!! We've had the fried corn- I would never think to fry corn but what a piece of heaven in your mouth! The crab cakes were amazing too!!!! Now that I'm hungry again- on to the entrees: the ribeye was melt in your mouth awesome!! The pecan encrusted chicken is to die for!!! Soo frigging good-wow!! The fried chicken salad with ranch (which the ranch has to be homemade because it was the best I've ever had) it was soo big just insanely good! The lettuce, tomatoes, scallion, so fresh and refreshing yummy!!! The fresh veggies are always changing for their sides and they are sauteed to perfection all the time!! I love mash potatoes and umm the French Market are the best potatoes I've ever put in my mouth-PERIOD! The right amount of garlicky kick!!! The deserts umm HELLO the chocolate banana cake, red velvet cake, snicker cake, key lime pie, peanut butter cupcake- ALL a party in your mouth- just made to perfection!! O!! Their sweet tea here is awesome too! And I love their martini's all awesome-trust me I've tried them!! Lol! I do believe that it is a prerequisite to work her is niceness, because everyone that works her are super super nice- my god!! And also they have a band here on the weekends and they are even awesome- they play a lot of micheal bluble, frank Sinatra, dean Martin!! All in all I love when we travel back in forth to Michigan because I know that I'm going to at least have an amazing meal while driving!! I personally love every aspect of this place and I'm sure if your reading this and you go and try it out you will not be disappointed!!!
Review Source:Found this place while passing by, using Yelp app on my phone. What a nice surprise. The food is very authentic, friendly staff, charming decor. My wife had the pesto chicken sandwich and it was delicious. I had the muffuletta and it was very authentic. It was a pleasure to meet Ashley, good luck with your endeavors, great talking to you and looking forward to your shows!
Review Source:Loved it so much visiting it for the first time for lunch (with my mom) I brought my BF back for supper! Lunch of a regular house salad and added a serving of fried goat cheese (surprisingly coated with good old fashioned cornmeal - and good!) with a balsamic vinegrette. Supper - I chose the Shrimp and Grits -- oh yum! The food seemed to have a cajun, Southern flair, which I enjoyed. Mom enjoyed her roasted chicken salad on a croissant and their soup of the day - creamy homemade tomato! Excellent - try it! And, the location was great - an old general store redo - and it's gorgeous. Friday and Saturday night enjoy live music 6 to close - which I'm told is 10. Great wait staff both times as well.
Review Source:The French Market was recommended, especially the Fried Baby Spinach, so off we went for what we hoped was a new favorite eatery. Â It is a charming place--from the shop to the restaurant and the little bakery. Â
We ordered the fried baby spinach, caesar salad, gumbo, peanut butter cupcake, and coconut cake slice. Â The desserts are excellent; however, the cake slice was not big enough to warrant the $7 price tag. Â The caesar salad was good, and the gumbo was okay. Â The spinach though was far too greasy since many of the leaves weren't properly drained held on to the frying oil. Â The taste was there for the fried and dried leaves, but the oily sections were downright nauseating. Â
I wouldn't intentionally go back to the French Market, but if I went back with others who wanted to go, I would give it one more try with a po' boy. Â If you claim to New Orleans food, you better have the po' boy right.
Six of us had lunch today to celebrate my daughter's 30th birthday. When we first walked in to the market, we were greeted by friendly employees in the beautiful gift shop area, which is well stocked with fun and eclectic merchandise. Looking around, we noticed that the owners obviously took a lot of time and put a lot of effort into refurbishing the historic space in downtown Locust Grove. Everything is very clean and very well done.
We were seated quickly and our drink orders were taken immediately by our friendly waitress. We ordered the Cajun potato chips for an appetizer, and they were fabulous. Then we then ordered everything from the shrimp po boy (plentiful shrimp but needed more sauce) to the chicken salad (chunky white meat full of nuts and cranberries with a smoky flavor) to the Reuben (thick but needed more saurkraut and sauce).
As early as it was on Saturday, we did think that it was a bit unusual that they were already out of a couple of things we asked for first (goat cheese appetizer and the 7 napkin roast beef sandwich). Also, by mid meal, our waitress seemed a bit overwhelmed and forgot to refill our drinks, but then made up for that by bringing my daughter a free Oreo birthday cupcake (which was very good).
All in all, a pretty good experience here. The Southside of Atlanta needs more restaurants of this caliber and I hope The French Market will continue to improve and do well. We will definitely be back to put the 7 napkin roast beef sandwich to the test when we come to town again.
It's so good to see the historic section of Locust Grove coming back to life and the French Market is definitely helping with that!
The ambiance when you first walk in the door (which leads to the small market in the place's namesake) is wonderful! It's like modern meets vintage meets country store meets chic decor and it's all works do well together. The building sits well in its surroundings of the historical strip but stands out on its own as well. Of I could redecorate my own home I'd go for this vibe.
Now for the food:
I went at lunch time and had the turkey and smoked Gouda melt. My husband had their signature sandwich (which having lived in France I can say is very close to a real French meal) and both were delicious. The Cajun seasoned fries were very good and I loved that it came with a pickled okra.
For dessert I tried what our waitress described as 'the best cupcake ever'. I have say, I agree! Get the peanut butter chocolate chip cupcake!
I will definitely be back to try the dinner.
Great atmosphere. Walked in and was greeted promptly and taken to our table on the cafe side. The side you enter sells various things like some really nice Tyler candles (my wife and I's favorite).
Our beverages were brought quickly. They have a nice assortment of alcoholic beverages but we did not partake as we were here for lunch.
I ordered the New Orleans Gumbo to start and it was wonderful. Made with chicken so I can have it (shellfish allergy). It had the perfect spicy kick to it. The rice was cooked perfectly.
My wife got a side salad and I was able to try some. It is big enough for a meal and tasted wonderful.
I ordered their signature sandwich and it was very tasty. The meats and cheese blended together very well. my wife ordered the Turkey and Smoked Gouda Melt. It was also excellent. The smooth avocado in it mixed very well with the rest of the sandwich. The Gouda was excellent.
I was able to try the fries and the red beans and rice and both were awesome. The fries were warm, fresh and well seasoned. The red beans and rice were hot, fresh and also tasty.
For dessert we both had the Peanut Butter Cupcake. I usually take the icing off of cupcakes and only eat the cake but the icing on this fresh, homemade cupcake was so good I want to buy it by the gallon.
The other desserts sound so good I will have to come back just to try them!
I am very much looking forward to coming back. Probably for dinner. If you are thinking about giving The French Market a try do your taste buds a favor and come try it now!
The first time we ate here, we thought it was some of the best food we have ever had - well worth the price. Â We were really blown away. Â The gumbo was wonderful and the fried oysters were terrific - perfect color (not overcooked), quality, and flavor. Â The burgers were very good.
We brought my parent's back a week or two later because it was so good, but it was a different experience. Â We ordered oysters again and they were overcooked. Â They seemed to be using a different recipe or quality of oyster or something. Â They were no better than what you might expect to get at a fast-food seafood restaurant.
We went back about a month later, and it was a little worse yet. Â The good home-made coleslaw seemed to have been replaced with something they might get at Ingles, the toast was stale and flavorless, french fries were bad. Â The gumbo had no broth - it was just rice with chunks of dry chicken and overcooked sausage on top. Â The creamed spinach was a dish of wilted spinach swimming in oil - no cream in sight - it was gross.
I spoke to the owner and he explained they had some issues with their chef and GM, and that they had been resolved.
We recently returned (June 2012) as a party of 4 and everything was excellent. Â The food - all of it - was amazing. Â We are so happy they corrected the problems.
I hope the owners remain strongly committed to high standards and put in the time and effort to ensure it happens. Â I'm always disappointed when a nice restaurant opens strong but the owners lay back and it goes downhill. Â I hope these guys have staying power - this might be the best restaurant in Henry County right now.
The French Market has come into it's own. Â They keep on improving the food, the service, and the atmosphere. Â From the delicious appetizers, the properly prepared steaks, the always filling and unique sandwiches, and the deserts that are ever changing, everything was flawless. The staff and owners are very friendly and professional. Our server was very knowledgeable about the food, not just the menu. This is how a French Quarter restaurant should be. Cozy, charming, fun and friendly.
Review Source:I tried the crawfish tails for the first time 2 weeks ago and was hooked. Â We went there for my wife's birthday dinner this past Saturday. Â
Great food, good wine, and the cupcakes are killer.
I would recommend the crawfish tails with ranch roumelade sauce., oyster po boy sandwich, chicken salad sandwich, shrimp and crawfish grits on Sunday brunch and the fried tomatoes are decent as well.
My wife and I went to TFM for the first time and really enjoyed the experience.
Instantly, we both enjoyed the interior as it is very welcoming and unique to the area. Â How refreshing to have a place to eat that has character to it, instead of another Zaxby's or Applebees. Â It has a great look yet not too overdone to the point where you feel crowded.
The food and service was flawless and we were treated like royalty. Â The appetizer portion was on the small side but the meals were generous and extremely tasty. Â I was actually surprised at the serving size of fish that I received. Â After eating, we visited the gift shop and purchased a few items.
A unique place and Henry County is lucky to have it. Â Will certainly go back.
If you like unique flavor and decorations, this is the place. Our county needs more places like this. I am a hugh fan or small, private unique businesses. The place has excellent customer service and food as well. My favorite is to head over there with my wife for a wonderful cup of coffee with some pastries on Saturday afternoons. I love supporting Restaurants that look like no other...reason why I never go to Chili's, O'Charlies, Applebees etc.
