This friendly's location smelled like raw sewage when we walked in, bad enough for 2 out of the 4 people in our party to turn around and want to go elsewhere. Â But the other 2 said to deal with it since we were already behind on our road trip and didn't want to scout out another place to eat.
The food was nothing special if you've dined at a friendly's before, same fatty deep fried crap that will make you regret eating it 2 hours later, which is exactly how we all felt once we got down the road.
Water/soda glasses were dirty, servers kept talking to us like they were bored, they were annoying as hell. Â Go clean something!
$42 bill for 4 people for sandwiches is a bit on the high side, no wonder this chain is slowly dying off.
If I compare this Friendly's to the Perkins where we had breakfast the next day, it definitely rates no higher than 2 stars. The entire restaurant had a very tired feel to it, complete with vague and unpleasant smell. My omelet was sad looking. The lumberjack breakfast, however, looked pretty darn good. Waitress was friendly, but general atmosphere left a lot to be desired.
Review Source:I get the sense that people rate these restaurants as compared to more expensive ones.
For what it is, this particular Friendly's Restaurant does well.
The food was quickly delivered, service was prompt and courteous and the price was consummate to the particular restaurant.
So, for what it is, I give it five stars. Quick, tasty food we.selected during a road trip.
wouldn't make it a regular source of nutrition because that would be unhealthy but it's good for on the go.
We were on a road trip so the restaurant did what it's supposed to do. Made hunger go away in a tasty way.
