Funky Monkey the

I came here with my friend the other night after a day of snowboarding at Gunstock. We are both from cities, where nightlife is in an abundance and knowing that this was literally the only form of nightlife in the area ... we were cautious. However, upon entering I was pleasantly surprised at the size of this place. The music was good, there was a dance floor, a decently sized bar and pool tables. Drinks were cheap, cash only, and sadly no coat check. Overall a pretty good place.

***Side note. I don't know if it's ALL locals that come to this place but we had at least 5 people say outright to us that we were "clearly not from around here". Tried not to take it as an insult...but we couldn't figure out what made us stick out like a sore thumb! Haha

I'm back Funky Monkey!
Same issues as last year. The bartender girls were outstraight making drinks all night long, but for a packed club they need a couple more. I suggested hiring a beer tub girl to the doorman.
Same theme as last year, the "Anti-Valentines Day Party". Raffled off a snowboard and ski passes. DJ was giving away CDs to the girls.
Door cover went up to $3.

Love this place. Me and my girlfriend discovered this place while we where up in the Laconia area. Huge bar, descent sized dance floor and a great dj. I do recomend finding an a.t.m. before you go. There is an a.t.m. there but there fees are crazy.
