I'm in love with their guac and margaritas.  Fun place, picturesque surroundings, great spot for out of town visitors.  The staff was lovely and it's very decently priced.

Eating in restaurant  is good but take out is really an excuse for what theme he describes.
Ordered a salad recently got home just romain lettuce  and splice or two of tomato. No avocado onions cucumbers , salad fixings
Chicken burrito consisted of rice and few beans, excuse me a bag of chips which they could hav kept for themselves.

Shame on you Gabby's not as you once were

Ive eaten lunch here and done take out dinner.
The guac is really really good, no doubt about it.  I usually have a quesadilla (chicken), and its good as well.  Not the best I've ever had, but good.

It is a little pricey, but across the street from another pricy place, so I gather the area can support the prices.

Ellenville is a great town and its nice to have good Mexican food.

I love, love this restaurant. Drive up from Queens to eat the guacomole and the burrito supremo. The staff is great, the food is exceptional. I have eaten at some of the best Mexican restaurants in Manhattan and in Mexico-------and this is up to par.  Just go!!!!

Gaby's is one of the best restaurants in Ellenville.  The quesadillas are amazing (Note: they will come with sour cream on top, so ask that it be on the side if you don't like that.)

Go to the Shadowland Theatre to see a great play; visit Gaby's afterwards (if they're still open) for dinner afterwards.

Very tasty. Tender chicken and lots of flavor. Fresh made guac was fantastic.

I don't know where these other people have been eating, but it must have been somewhere other than Gaby's in Ellenville.  I'm giving it one star for the guac, other than that the food was big, but bland.  The service was pleasant, but slow and the prices are on the high side for the quality.

This is AUTHENTIC mexican food.  The mole, chimichanga, cabrita, everything is incredible.  I can come here again and again and again

Vegetables were fresh, portions were generous, prices were fair. Not the most noteworthy Mexican meal I've had, but you don't see fireworks every time.

Excellent guac. Stop in here before or after a show at the Shadowland Theatre across the street (dinner and a show!). They're open late.

Great place.  Found it on a random wandering.  Strange to see such a great place of this ethnic variety in such a random area.  I too saw that (like the other reviewers) they make the guacamole right at the table; similar to how some French restaurants mix up the tartar in front of you.  It was, however, the guac or a margarita for me.  As I was trying not to over do it.  I got a peach margarita for myself and my wife.  She loved it, which means it was sweet and not with too much alcohol.  I thought it was girly, but then the server was aware we were splitting it.  :)

I got a great big blackened skirt steak burrito, which cam with everything all inside (including guac).  It was great!  Probably best burrito I've ever had.  They advertise it as being cooked over a charcoal fire, which for my money is the best grilling technique for this type of fare.  My wife got the chimichangas.  I use plural, because they are a mite smaller than the burritos, however you get two instead of on enormous burrito.  They had many types, however I cannot remember which kind she got.  She was not a great fan, but then I didn't taste them because my monstrous burrito almost knocked me over.  The corn chips and salsa that were gratuit were fantastic as well....

Great place overall.  A definite must-go.  And if you're ever passing through Ellenville, I insist you go!  And check my photo of the burrito!  A little grainy because of poor light, and I was missing a ruler as a scale or something.  Trust, me; it was enormous!  It was a monster! (snicker)

My family loves this place and we are so lucky to have it right around the corner.  We love the "right there" made guacamole and just about everything we have ever tried there. It is a very clean, comfortable atmosphere and has a very friendly and caring staff.
