An okay place to eat. This is in a fairly small town area, so there aren't a ton of choices, but we decide to go here because it was close to the hotel. We felt it was very overpriced for what it was. They were having a 25% off Irish fare that night, so that made it more affordable. We had the shepherd's pie and the irish egg rolls. The pie was not great at all. Mediocre at best. For as much as they charge, we were surprised what a small little crock-like dish it came in. The taste was bland. The egg rolls, stuffed with cabbage, corned beef etc., was much better. A very unique dish. The best part about it was their guiness sauce they serve with it. The people were very nice, but getting the food was a slooowwww process, then the server forgot two items we ordered and we had to wait again for the rest of the meal. All in all, okay if you're not too picky, or are in not any hurry.
Review Source:This is a fantastic location for casual dining. Â First and foremost, the wait staff is fantastic. Â Very polite and quick to help without you feeling as if they are "hovering" over you and bothering you. Â The location is quiet (much quieter than I would have anticipated given the amount of people there) and in the bar / eating area there are a number of T.Vs. Â A great place to eat while watching your favorite sporting event. Â And they have KENO!
The food is very good and the dessert is fantastic. Â I had the Mac and Cheese on side (very good) and the buffalo chicken wrap which was out of this world. Â Also, the portions are what you would want. Â No food is thrown away but you do not leave hungry. Â For a "bar" atmosphere, the pizza (My son had it) was incredible. Â My wife enjoyed her reuben.
Clearly it is a local hang out as well, which is always a sign the place is good. Â
I would highly recommend going here... a great place on your way up North however I live about 30 minutes away and I will definitely make the trip just to eat here. Â Can't say enough good things about it.
Pop did not have much carbonation, salad was like a bagged salad--just shredded carrots, cabbage, and some tired old lettuce, burger was LOADED with grease and waiter said that that is the Gallaghers Burger, and was not nice on getting me a new bottom bun to replace the one that was so greasy it disintegrated when I touch it. Â NOT happy with the meal. Will NOT return!!
