Hands down the best gelato ever! They always seem to be changing flavors seasonally, well weekly while keeping the traditional flavors. I always got chocolate orange and fragola (fresh strawberry with seeds) which were to die for!! So sad that I'm about thousand miles from GG but always go back when I'm back home. Haven't found a gelato place like this in Houston, Phoenix or Chicago. Go try this place, you will fall in LOVE!!!
Review Source:My favorite Gelato place of all time in Louisville, very much like the gelato we had in Italy. Â I like this better than other ice cream places in Louisville because it's not super sweet and you can really taste the real fruit flavor. Â Try the cookies and cream and key lime pie and you'll think you're eating the real thing.
Set in a beautiful exclusive rich neighborhood that's perfect for a stroll while wishing you got a couple extra million dollars laying around so you don't feel like an intruder. Â Block party every Thursday night with live music in the town square.
THE CUSTOMERS:
We had a total of two adults and two children that went to this restaurant on a weekday.
THE LOCATION:
The location is not exactly easy and somewhat deceiving because it's in a neighborhood. But once you arrive it is in a very nice location.
FIRST IMPRESSION:
Love the little neighborhood that it's in. It's in a small "sub-city" type neighborhood with quaint shops and such and all the stuff is very "high-end". I am middle class type person so I really didn't feel like I fit in but its one of those neighborhoods that has condo-type, very little yard, skinny house with high end materials where the houses run about $400k.
THE SELECTION:
Really good selection of Gelato. I had the Chocolate Strawberry (which should have been chocolate because I didn't taste any strawberry at all) and the wife had the "dirt and worms" to split with our little one.
THE PRICE:
The price came out to be $10.49 for two "larges" (the cup was very small but they overflowed the cup).
THE FOOD:
Very quick service. The Gelato was good. Tasted like Gelato. Nothing too special.
THE FINAL "SCOOP":
I think this place was very nice but I don't think I'll be going back unless a friend or someone else wanted to go. I thought the price was okay but I like some of the other "dessert" places better (e.g. Homemade IC&PK, Cold Stone Creamery, etc.). As I said I am regular guy with middle-class tendencies so I feel like this place was more of a yuppie ice-cream shop than anything. Not a bad place though just not for us.
If you're curious, try it out...at least you know you'll get some Gelato.

This may help you on seeing whether or not my review will help you because if we have similar taste, then we may have similar opinions. Â
I am not food yuppie by any means. I am regular guy loving regular food. Among my favorite places to eat are Jimmy Johns, Five Guys burger and fries & Moe's Southwest Grill. My family consist of my wife and two children so I try to find places that aren't too pricey but still offer good food. I don't mind trying new food at new places but hate when I have to review a bad place to eat.
