This has become our favorite restaurant. Seriously, we love it. We usually split a combination plate, since the portions are huge.
I've never dined there, but it always seems to have plenty of people there, which is a good sign for a small town restaurant.
We love the sweet and sour pork, as well as the almond chicken.
Take-out is easy and usually ready within 10-20 minutes.
The service has been great. They let us request different items than what the menu said, and they were happy to oblige.
This is one of my GO TO places. I wasn't surprised when they remembered that i ALWAYS order Pot Stickers to start off with, but I then ordered seafood in crispy nest - a name that could lead to driving that big white porcelain bus all night in some places.
HERE IT MEANS A DELICATE TASTE OF HEAVEN. Â The shrimp here are always exceedingly fresh and never overcooked or rubbery. The Squid was cooked exactly the right amount not to get tough, and the scallops were extraordinary. Â The bowl turned out to be made of won ton wrapper and stayed crispy a long time.
DO NOT ORDER a single plate dinner, you'll miss some really great dishes.
I can't believe anyone in the one horse town of Hughson hasn't yelped this place yet. Hughson only has a handful of restaurants and Golden Bowl is the BOMB! the best fried rice outside of San Francisco. Their garlic chicken YUM! Â A little family owned hole in a wall with excellent service.
