This location is under new management. Â They still have some work to do. Â They are slow at keeping the buffet maintainted with fresh food. Â Went there for Breakfast 7/7/13. Â Staff was friendly but again they were slow to replinish the food. Â Some of it never was replinished by the time we left.
Review Source:A change in management for the worse. Â Now the foods on the bar are in such small containers they are constantly empty. The Flavors of the meals were off, not as good as in the past.. Â When I talked with the new manager she was defensive and dismissive of my comments that were based on my 13 years of eating there. Â The staff is trying, but I think the profit margin is outweighing the service and quality.
Review Source:As with all Golden Corrals you don't get well done steak like you use to back in the old days. You have to wait on them to cook it. Â Everybody is so tired of waiting that they go up there and get raw steak which I don't like. Other than that the bar is ok. I miss the fact that you can order steak well done. The tables and floor are a little messy from time to time. I actually like Western Sizzlin in Lake Rim better than any of the Golden Corrals.
Review Source:Alright, so here's the deal with Golden Corral. It is usually extremely packed, dirty, with poor service, old, undesirable food and not to mention the filthy silverware and plates. This place..was the exception.
I was so surprised when I walked up and saw that the place was clean and beautifully decorated for Halloween. The cashier greeted us with a friendly "hello" and quickly got out drinks out.
Although our chairs needed a little TLC, we didn't care. My husband saw the "chocolate wonder-fall" and I knew that I was in for it.
The food was FRESH (yes, FRESH!) and they recently added a "hibachi-style" bar where you can have crab-cakes, tilapia, or shrimp cooked right in front of you with your choice of sauce and seasonings. I had my shrimp cooked with some creole seasoning and it was wonderfully spicy and tasty. I also LOVE their salad bar as there are just SO many options!
I am not a dessert eater but my husband was so pleased by the fruit dipped in the fresh pouring chocolate, that he went on to celebrate with three pieces of cake, pie and cookies.
The service was OUTSTANDING. Our waiter was back and forth, back and forth continuously because I drink a LOT of unsweetened tea. He was so friendly and kind to us.
My ONLY complaint is the price...it has GONE UP! 10.99 with 2$ drinks. It was about 27$ for the two of us..ouch.
We will absolutely be back the next time we are in Laurinsburg!
