I don't get the fascination with The Chive, but I guess every photoblog has their fans. Still, it was odd to walk into the Golden Fleece and see KCCO all over the walls and shirts of patrons. Even on the weekday of my visit the place was somewhat busy for a city that otherwise seems to shut down at 10 PM, and while I'm not usually one to look for something more than a pint of whatever's on draft, I was cajoled into trying an oatmeal cookie shot. While we all agreed that it did kinda taste like its title was meant to imply, the low ABVs of the liqueurs used to create the concoction wasn't really doing much for my extreme case of sobriety, so back to beer I went.
Review Source:While visiting a friend in Delaware, we dropped by the Golden Fleece Tavern to see what that was all about.  And oh man, am I glad we did.  The atmosphere's as relaxing and intimate as a good coffeehouse, the live band that was playing (Murray and White) was nice and easy on the ears, and their house special drinks were tasty and hilariously  named.  I had a Loose Liberal and then a Golden Apple and both were delicious.  I even got to meet Diana, one of the owners and a fairly successful entrepreneur around downtown Dover -- my friend's been a regular at some of her businesses so I'd heard a lot about her.  And their website's even funny!  I am most definitely coming back next time I'm in the area.
