The Greene Turtle

Okay, in all fairness we have really given this restaurant a chance.  We've had about 10 visits here since they've been open and all of them have been the same.  The service is S-L-O-W (typical wait, 45-60 min. for food), the food is just okay and over-priced for the quality you get, and it is super DIRTY in this restaurant.

Today's visit was again a disappointment.  It took 15 minutes for someone to even notice that we were there and 50 minutes to get our lunches.  Keep in mind that all we ordered were 2 kids meals, a soup & salad, and 1 burger.  The waitress got our order incorrect and told me that I must not have talked loudly enough for her to hear.  I remember her name, but I don't want to embarrass her.  She was then more than a little ticked when I had the nerve to request crackers for my soup.  Ho-hum...and so it went.

On the upside, the pretzels with crab dip are delicious.  However, that's not enough to keep me coming back.  In my opinion the first thing they should do is close the restaurant for 1 week and CLEAN it.  When the hostess moved away from the podium to seat us about 6 or 7 flies jumped up and started buzzing around.  There's just a general feeling of filth in the dining part which only makes me wonder about the kitchen.  From our booth we could see grease/food/something icky smeared on the wood outside the booths.  Our remote was covered in something, ketchup perhaps??  Also, the television at our seat was splattered with food from a long ago guest.  Ewww!

I'd check into another restaurant if you were looking for a place to dine instead of just a place to drink.

Meh. Luke warm food. I ordered a chicken Philly sandwich. It came with no onions or peppers, which it was supposed to. It was very dry and not particularly warm. To tell you the truth it was the damn turtle logo that got me in the door - ADORABLE! But even that won't bring back in voluntarily.

The hostess was pretty rude. In fact, my fiance was asking her how long the wait was and she simply walked away without answering.

Awful.
