Grillers BBQ

Exceptional BBQ.  Matthew H's review is spot on.  I agree that it compares favorably to city BBQ, which I think is also excellent.  I had the brisket and folks from Alabama that we brought there had pulled pork.  Everything was fresh and tasty.  I'd venture to say it is the best food in Knox county.  We are regular customers starting today!

Grillers used to have the best hamburger in the country but no more. For some reason they discontinued it. Booooo
Barbecue is good but not unique

Over the years I've enjoyed some really great Central Ohio BBQ: Montgomery Inn, Hoggies and City BBQ, just to name a few. So when we moved up to Mount Vernon from Columbus, I knew I was probably giving up a good BBQ experience.

You can't believe my surprise and excitement when Griller's opened. Wow, do they make a great BBQ! They make a great sampler platter and the meat is always tender and fresh. They have a nice selection of sides and the sauces are very tasty.

They are located just across the street from the Kokosing Gap Trail at the Howard stop, so plan your ride accordingly so you can grab some lunch.

But keep in mind two things: First, their hours. They are closed on Monday & Tuesday. Second, they only accept cash (but they have an ATM machine in the foyer).

I can't wait to head back tomorrow for lunch!
