The Groves Restaurant

I am amazed that such a stellar restaurant opened in this location. Exquisite restaurants are few and far between in Southern Humboldt.  But the decor, ambiance and of course the food and wine in this establishment would challenge the best of the best in any city.

The Groves is far and away the best dining experience to be had in Southern Humboldt!! Every course was a unique and vibrant combination of flavor and texture. The service was attentive without being pushy and every suggestion was helpful and on point and the menu features organic and locally sources ingredients. Don't skip desert because their pastry chef doesn't miss a beat! If you are coming in from the south exit at the first Phillipsville Avenue of the Giants sign and enjoy 14 miles of amazing trees to put you in a relaxed and expansive mood before dinner.

This is an incredible restaurant....

Located in the middle of nowhere on the Avenue of the Giants in Myers flat California. Nicely decorated this small restaurant approximately 50 seats serves absolutely outstanding food.

The baked oysters are over the top. They bake them in a woodfired oven with a little béarnaise sauce, chives and some kind of Italian bacon, OMG are they good.

Also had spicy prawn appetizer - that has me wanting to go back for more.

The entrée, was a thinly sliced flank steak over absolutely delicious french fries, topped with béarnaise sauce.

Great wine pairings for everything on the menu. Best restaurant I have eaten at in a very long time.
