THIS PLACE WILL BLOW YOUR @#$%ING MIND!! Seriously...it is a hole in the wall everyday small town tavern with the standard 4 beer domestic tap. It is kind of a drive from anywhere and the ribs are $18 and kind of a small portion. At first I was somewhat disappointed at the size...then I reached down to tear one off and it slid off the bone and I think I lost it when I actually put it in my mouth!! I ate two slabs there and bought two to take with me and some BBQ sauce.

Very limited menu, kind of a small place, but totally worth the drive!! Literally some of the best ribs I have ever had!!

It's quite a drive to get here from KC, but so worth it.  Best ribs you will ever have, hands down.  The ribs are served up on newspaper and wrapped in tin foil, so it's definitely a hole in the wall place, but that's right up my alley.  The BBQ sauce is great too, not what I would normally like, it is more of a tomato base and I generally go for the sweeter sauces, but I smother the ribs with it.

They have a limited menu, but I'm not sure why you would go and get anything but the ribs anyway.

This place is all about the ribs --- and they are as good as it gets.  We stop in every time we can when we're headed to or from KC on I-35.  Just a mile or so off of I35 at the Williamsburg exit which is a little bit south of Ottawa.

We have typically been there for a late lunch on Saturdays and there is no crowd.  Very friendly staff and very quick service.  Cash only, but they have an ATM if you're like us and never carry cash.

Back to the main attraction -- the ribs. They are perfectly barbecued with just the right amount of seasoning and smoke.  They are served dry, as good barbecue should be, so the flavor of the meat comes through.  Honestly, I've never even tasted their BBQ sauce, because there's no need to.  The meat falls right off the bone, but has good texture.

Again, the ribs are the main attraction here.  The potato salad and cole slaw sides are pretty good.  I would not recommend the beans.  It's too bad that such a good BBQ joint serves what taste like Van Camp Pork and Beans, straight from the can.

This place is a must stop for us when we're driving by, and would be worth the drive to pick up some ribs to take back home with your own sides.
