The city of Packwood is kind of a cool little spot on the way to the mountain, and the addition of a classy gallery and cafe adds to the road trip experience quite a bit. As my wife and I plan to spend more time up in the northwest, we'll be sure to make the gallery and cafe a regular stop on our way to see Mt. Rainier. They serve coffee, sandwiches, ice cream, and breakfast. The nature photos are also really cool.
