Now everyone who knows me KNOWS I am not a country girl, and this place is kinda like redneck heaven mechanical bull and all.  The drink specials were fair and the drinks I had werent bad but the overall atmosphere is really targeting one particular genre.  Its partially my fault for making assumptions because in raleigh bars with names like 'hard times' have a kinda dark mysterious romantic feel to them I guess my best example is 'The Raleigh Times' after dark totally romantic great lighting but still exciting and buzzing.  Eh I guess you cant win em' all....

The entire time I was visiting Greenville my friend told me about something called G-Vegas. i guess people here think they have their own ghetto fabulous version of Vegas so they decided to name it G-Vegas. Go out in downtown Greenville at night and you'll understand why. (girls in very tiny and tight dresses!)

My friends and I literally stumbled upon this place after partying at another bar down the street. The sign "Mechanical Bull here" definitely caught our eye. Well if we're gonna party it up in G-Vegas we gotta do it right! Since it was just about last call and the bouncer told us the bull would be up the next night, we vowed to come back and that we did.

When you walk in, it's like stepping into a whole other universe. I don't know why I was surprised. Mechanical bull = country bar, right? The place was littered with dudes in cowboy hats and girls in daisy dukes and cowboy boots. The mechanical bull could not be missed as it was right in the back with a huge air blown pit all around (for all the crashing). The cool thing is that riding the bull is free, no crazy catch that I would expect back home. And you don't have to wait very long to get your turn. The guy running the bull will start you off slow if you're a first timer (teasing you into thinking that you're actually good) before you get whipped off the bull.

And in case that alone wasn't exciting enough - THEY HAVE POLES! If you're just interested in griding up against these poles, they are perfect for you. If you're a pole fit enthusiast like I am, these are unacceptable! Haha. They are basically pipes, or made from the same material as street poles, and you will not stick to the pole when you're trying to do fancy inverts. But I'm sure they don't care about "pros" like me. They are just there for girls to writh on and take photos.

Every once in awhile there will be a "dance break" where you do traditional line dancing like "Copperhead Road" (super easy to join in) and the DJ even indulged us with "The Wobble" several times.

Cowboys, mechanical bulls, and poles. Welcome to G-Vegas!
