Drove all day from Memphis into rural Tennessee. I was TIRED. Walked in about fifteen minutes before closing (11:45 pm). The graveyard manager sounded/looked annoyed that I messed with the train of thought while he was in the middle of mopping the floor.
As I thought about what I wanted and while he took my order,
I thought maybe he was a little grumpy, so like I do sometimes, I play a little game with myself...the challenge of trying to make someone smile, and I can usually do that by smiling myself.
The tricked worked, and he broke out into a little grin. It's important to note that this pretty much made my whole visit to Hardee's worthwhile, and I smiled back with an even bigger grin than before.
I ordered a Chicken Club.
Clean restaurant; late night; and close to closin time - all the right things to a formula for a good food experience. I could see, as they were puttin the order together, that everything was made super fresh - and that's how it tasted. Comfort food for the weary traveler!
Hardees' breakfast is always hot and super-fresh, and they have gotten the speedy service down to a science. This restaurant has been remodeled in the past couple of years or so and is modern, comfortable, and relatively clean. I've never had their hamburgers, but I'm a fan of their breakfast offerings!
