Harris grill is a spot I have been frequenting recently for happy hour mainly because I really love the patio. Â It's above street level which I prefer for whatever reason. Â They have a half off any draft beer special that can't be beat, and the selection is decent and changes frequently. They also have a frozen drink special which I imbibe in from time to time. Â They're tasty but a little sweet/sour for my taste. Â They have 5 dollar appetizers and wings during happy hour as well which is good for folks on a budget such as myself. Â I like to go to happy hour to catch a buzz and fill my belly on the cheap. Â Also, the wait staff are always really friendly and accommodating. Â That's not a make or break thing for me, but dealing with cool people is never a bad thing. Â Those are things I dig.
The only issue I've had with my food there is whenever I've gotten anything with grilled chicken in it, the chicken tastes dirty. Â I've had this experience twice, and my friend did last time. Â She thinks they just haven't scraped their grill in a while. Â Either way, I'll pass on the bird from now on. Â Most of the other food I've had is decent and they offer a marginal vegetarian selection. Â The food is nothing really spectacular but this is bar food, not fine dining. Â The menu has changed recently and I'm looking forward to trying some of the new (chicken-less) items and washing them down with an ice cold half off beverage. Â Over all, I'm a fan.
Went for the first time today. Kitchen was just wrapping up a re-model, but they extended happy hour to accommodate and the food was pretty darn good.
The happy hour specials were a great deal and the staff was really nice. Also love that the patio is in the shade all afternoon/evening. Great summer spot.
I had the jerk Mac and cheese and it was spicy... I have nothing else to add about that. Â I also had the frozen Cosmo (which the bartender tells me they are famous for). It was ok - if you like frozen drinks. Â The wait staff however was original with their loud talk about personal hygiene...
