Had a lakehouse "staycation" with my family in Wautoma and came across this adorable, charming little restaurant! We ate lunch here on a Saturday and loved it. The restaurant was very busy on the day that we were there but we were seated right away. They have a huge menu with tons of sandwiches, coffee drinks and salads. They also make delicious caramel apples fresh to order with your choice of nuts. They employees were all very friendly. There is a nice gift/antique shop attached to the restaurant as well. If I ever come back to Wautoma I will eat here again!
Review Source:Very nice little cafe. Â Polite and helpful employees. Â
The reason for my 3 star review is because though my wrap had very good flavor it was very liquidiy. Â I got it to go to eat on my drive and it leaked out the bottom on to my blouse. Â I wrapped up the second half for later and set it aside. Â when I got to my destination it had leaked through the wrapper and got all over everything. Â
I will give this place a second chance though as I like to see small buinesses make it and tend to avoid chain places which Wautoma has quite a few of.
Go visit Holly and Russ next time traveling through beautiful Wisconsins mid section. The food is consistantly outstanding freshly prepared and wll presented. Daily specials such as the Dr Suess inspired Green Eggs and Ham was a wonderful egg scramble sitting atop a generous portion ham slice topped with a green tapanade and fresh aspargus. Served with a side of fruit chunks drizzled with sweet yogurt. For that added kick in the shorts order a side of sliced jalapenos. After your dining experience go checkout the back room full of fun antiques and stuff from years gone by.
