People, you've got to take this for what it is--an old gas station converted to a take-out barbecue place with some beverages.
I haven't tried any of their sandwiches, but have tried all their barbecue and sides. Their barbecue is amazing. AMAZING. $20 for a rack of delicious ribs is a STEAL. The meat is juicy, tender, smokey and the perfect amount of chew and heft. Rib tips--yum! Their smoked half chickens are good, a little dry. Their fried chicken is good, too. I'm not a huge fan of their barbecue sauce, it's a little more tomato sauce than barbecue sauce to me. But it's normally served on the side, so I just use sauce I prefer.
Their braised cabbage side is pure nirvana, simmered with flecks of red pepper and smoked ham but isn't at all mushy or overcooked. In fact, it is so delicious I had to figure out how to make a version at home because I can't eat there ALL the time. Their greens are quite tasty, but often need a little salt. When they do have them, their loaded mashed potatoes are DELICIOUS. Their mashed sweet potatoes are delicious and their potato logs are quite good, too. Their mac and cheese is average.
You get so much food for the money--I mean, SO MUCH. Plus, they have picnic tables outside which is perfect in nice weather and they carry a decent beer selection inside. Sit outside on your tailgate, on the picnic table or take it home--it's delicious then and as leftovers.
For the price, you can't beat it.
First of all...This is not an dine in restaurant.
That being said, man this is some GOOD CHICKEN!!! I love it! The sides are bomb and the bbq ribs make you wanna slap yo mamma!
Haha! And the prices are great! If you're on you're way to Ocean City, it's on the left and it's so worth it to pick up some chicken and bring it to the beach. Or to the Zoo in Salisbury since the smell of freshly fried chicken is so intoxicating all you would want to do it pull over and eat it! Oh please do!
