Ate lunch here recently with my coworker and was pleasantly surprised. Â Despite being empty, our food was excellent. Â My pressed corned beef sandwich was prepared just right and the fries were excellent. Â My colleague's quiche lunch special was superb. Â Lunch specials, including soup and domestic beer, are under $10. Â How can you beat that?! Â I'll be back soon.
Review Source:Great bar menu, huge early bird special portions. The food is great, they use all fresh seafood. If you are coming to eat, you will leave happy. If you are coming to drink, the bartenders and quick and polite. They have a great outside area too for drinking, eating, and watching the chaos on McLean.
Review Source:The Heritage is fantastic. It is the best place to have a sit down meal in Woodlawn and here's why: The service is efficient and nice. You can order anything from sliders (beef or chicken) to a salad to surf and turf. I've just never had a bad meal there. It's all delicious. Here are my favorites off the menu: Tuscan Bruschetta Chicken, Chicken Cordon Bleu, and the Steakhouse Salad. Â Enjoy!
Review Source:I love the atmosphere of the bar! I come for trivia night on thursdays which makes it a very lively and fun place to be. They have great deals $2 sliders, $4/$5 beers  and $.50 wings. Their wings are actually some of the best wings I've had around westchester.
Employees are friendly.
The Heritage is one of the great Irish pubs in Woodlawn. A couple of years ago they had a facelift that transformed them from dive bar to a nice looking Pub/Restaurant with great food. Burgers are huge and delicious and very reasonable. Friendly bartenders and a great joint to watch games on many big flat screens ....
Review Source:Stopped in here on a Thursday night for a beer and some bar food and found out that it was Trivia Night, which would explain a more eclectic crowd.. Â Fortunately, it wasn't too busy at the bar. Â
Beer and curry fries, along with my buddy's sliders hit the spot. Â I found the bartender professional and quick to see if I wanted another beer, even though I wasn't finished with the one I was drinking. Â
Course that worked with the guys sitting next to me that started pounding beers and shots. Â The were both from Ireland and I had a hard time understanding them. Â I got a little worried when one of them started getting angry. Â Fortunately, nothing happened. Â Otherwise, I would drop my rating to 2 stars. Â
The overall bar is really nice and with the fake fireplace, it would a perfect ski lodge bar. Â This would be a place to go during the cold winter months.
We just had our 9 year anniversary dinner here. It was recommended by the women at Mary J;s. Â We had the crab cakes for the starter. It was only two but perfect for two people to share, and delicious! He had the pork chops with cream of mushroom soup. I got the surf and turf (fillet mignon and lobster tail) with a salad. Then for dessert we got the chocolate fondant cake topped with vanilla ice cream. This was the best meal we have had in years. Keep in mind we have dined all over NYC!! We both still have left overs enough for one meal each. He got 2 Guinness' and I got a soda. The total was $84. Great deal for such a nice meal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review Source:One of the best Irish Pubs on McLean. Â Food is excellent and much better than one of the much larger Irish pubs in the area. Â The bar on a weekend night or Sunday during the day, always sees a good crowd and usually has live music. Â The staff is friendly and prompt. Â Whether you are looking to watch the GAA games on Sunday or bring some out of town friends out for a night at a real Irish Pub, this is the place to be, hands down. Â I highly recommend you try the shepherds pie.
Review Source:When I was in the area with my family I decided to yelp an Irish restaurant nearby. This place seemed reasonable and homey. When we went in it did not seem to chaotic but to say the least we never really got any service. Just to order a soup i had to shout to our server while she was passing by because she walked away from us when i tried to order it earlier.
We had finished our appetizers for a while and still were never asked if we would like to order entrees so after about ten minutes we shouted to her again to ask if we could. She waved to us and we then waited a little more before she came over to take the order. When i did get my dinner it was not bad i got the shepherds pie and the onion soup i had prior was good also, The strip steak my mother got was pretty awful it was kind of stringy which is weird.
After we were done my niece wanted dessert and when we asked her after a few times to come over she finally took the dessert order and then twenty minutes later we still didn't have it so we assumed she forgot and just asked for the check, the dessert was not on the check so she never ordered it for us. When the manager asked us how everything was we explained to her our experience and she ended up giving us the dessert for free to go. Still wish i could of had a good time with my family here, maybe i can try it again and it will go differently not sure if i will though.
Nicest accomodating bartenders!
Even took the trouble to search for my pre-season Jets game on tv. How nice was that? Â These guys treat the customers right. Â It's the best when they have live music, the locals really get into it. Â Nice homey, closeknit feel. Â There's something genuine about it.
The food is the best on Mclean, hands down. Â They made the best french toast I've ever had. Â Terrific burgers, soups I look forward to having and on point traditional fare. Â The dining room in the back is impressive and kind of romantic in it's own way. Â They got live music, lots of food choices and your tv while you drink. Â All bases are covered. Â
Among the best places in Westchester to hang out with friends!
(Recap)
After a recent visit something odd occured.
I sat at a table by the bar and waited to be served. Â The bar was full but not hectic and no other tables were seated. Â A female bartender acknowledged me but never bothered to come over and ask for so much as a drink order. Â The Hostess who was seated and visually bored did NOTHING. Â Twenty very strange minutes later I Left.
The prices here are very reasonable, the food is good and the servers are friendly. I have never had a bad experience here or a bad meal. I'm surprised someone had a bad experience here as I have been coming to Heritage on and off for at least six months and have only had positive things to say.
Review Source:Ate here not too long ago and i can honestly say it is probably my worst dining experience in the last 10 years. Ordered the buffalo wings as an app and they tasted like they were heated up from the night before. Ordered the steak sandwich and was served a hard piece of half-ass garlic bread with what appeared to be steakum serving as the steak. Will never be back, no way, no how!!
