Dorney and Malone's Tavern

Went there last Saturday night-- heard a great rock-a-billy band and had some tasty Smithwick's  Irish Ale served with a smile by Mary behind the bar.  Good drinks, great atmosphere,  friendly fun crowd and great tunes! What more could you want. Can't wait to go back.

One of the best bars you will find in this part of the Bronx.  Become a regular and you will have instant friends.  Once the folks recognize you it becomes like "Cheers"....you wanna go where everybody knows your name.  Good drinks, friendly folks, mainly Yankee fans as you'd expect in the Bronx but they made a Mets fan like me feel comfortable!  Good pool table, darts, and nice jukebox.  Crowd changes over around mid-evening from the working folks and semi-retired to the college-age crowd.  Both are nice to be around.

I walked into this place a few months back. I once went there but my id wouldnt scan so they wouldnt serve me. Arrived there one saturday night and was warmly greeted by Anthony he served me a jack and coke. It was not watered down it was delicious.

I became a regular at this place for many reasons: clean bathroom, cheap strong drinks, free shots if you buy of course, awesome bartenders (Mary, Anthony and GEORGE love you!!!)  and the crowd. This bar is the epitome of what a bar should be: bartenders that are cool and they know your name.  GREAT PLACE!
