  In recent months Hixton Travel Plaza has done a lot of remodeling.  Some of them good (new bathrooms) some of them bad (adding more pumps and making parking and driving very confusing and dangerous)  Hard to bring elderly members of the family to eat at Timber Valley Restaurant because it is hard for them to walk from the new parking area as it is a very long distance from the doors.  The gas is now also pay at the pump or pre-pay only which can be an inconvenience.  The biggest problem I have with Hixton Travel Plaza is the congestion of the parking lot and how dangerous it has become with the addition of pumps.

  Great little truck stop.  Low diesel fuel prices.  Clean showers, small convenience store.  Limited parking.
