Hometown Cafe

I can't imagine anyone would ever be in Barnes, KS or even drive through Barnes, but that being said this was a great place to stop. I was there for a wedding and decided to make it my quest to find the best Chicken Fried Steak sandwich. Hometown was my first stop and it was quite enjoyable. I brought Riley, my oldest daughter and she chowed down on some chicken strips and fries. The sandwich was good, the meat was very tasty, the breading was only OK. They did serve us a Lemon cake as a dessert, just because. I actually think someone just dropped it off at the restaurant. This place truly is like someones house.
