Hooligans

Was in town on business. Cute girls and friendly people. I like the bartender and it was the only place in town with people on a Thursday. Don't go to get food. Less.... alternative than flip side (which was weird).

College hangout...lots of eye candy, ok service, skanks, no smoking inside and a porch out back...oh yah, they have POPCORN! woot woot

Fooseball and pool and more bitches and as Jim mentioned, lots of D-bags!

I only go when everyone else is going there...otherwise I would rather go somewhere less douchey...hehe

I've been to "Hoolies" several times in the past 8 years when I lived in Pocatello, and honestly, the service is pretty poor when the bar becomes busy. Unless you are a regular to this bar, or personally know the current bar tender (or owner), you'll be waiting awhile to receive service.    

The biggest turnoff about this bar is that the same trendy douche nozzles, who are in their early 30s, and should have graduated from college or somehow moved on with their lives away from the bar scene, are still there on a regular basis, acting like they own the bar and it's their 21st birthday every weekend. Don't get me wrong, I don't have a problem with having a good time, but there is a point in your life when you need to move on from the bar scene. Basically, if you're not a regular patron there, you do not feel very welcomed at all.

Positive things about the bar are that there is no smoking inside the bar (after 9PM, if I remember correctly). Drink prices are fair, and Monday nights, they have a BYOMug Night. Hooligans is also very involved in supporting the community and Idaho State University. It is also the only bar in Pocatello that can be classified as somewhat of a "college bar". It's just too bad the majority of the college patrons are FORMER students trying to relive their glory days...
