Excellent beer choices. Â The owners' work hard on supporting the local, smaller, craft beer scene. I don't go there for the wine, cause I enjoy the beer.
No TV, no wifi, no distractions. Â Just a great local neighborhood pub that focuses on getting neighbors talking to each other over a great pint. Â It is a great place to meet people and make new friends.
How many bars can you go to where the owners learn your name on your first visit and welcome you back every time?
Great beers, the hop shop has eight taps that are always changing, 5 dollar pints and they don't serve pitchers so its kind of expensive. Growlers are 20 to fill which is way to expensive even if it is premium beer. The place has great vibes and on Wednesdays they have really good stone oven pizza.
Review Source:This is a great little pub, especially if you like beer. They have a rotating selection on tap, offering a variety of handcrafted northwest breweries. Â They limit their selection, but because it is rotating, there is always something new to try.
The owners are great at coming up with recommendations, and are friendly and helpful.
This is strictly a bar - no food. Â I have seen people bring sandwiches in, so that may be a possibility. Â However, they have no kitchen, so if you are hungry, you may have to look at other options. Also, because of the small space and low ceilings, the place can become noisy and loud.
However, it is a great place to stop for a pint or two, and a great place for the South Hill.
Great selection of beer on tap and in the bottle. I think any beer snob would enjoy a place like this, however even though they serve up really good brews, I feel like it's not too expansive in selection. I'm not even looking for more beers, I'd just like to see them offer something other than the standard for what a beer place needs. They just need that one beer that no other bar in Spokane offers. Is that asking too much? Maybe. Either way, if I'm out on a beer pub crawl of Spokane, this place is on my list.
Review Source:This place is not yuppity or elitist and the Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I find it very rude that someone will give them a bad review based on the fact that they are not willing to step out of their comfort zone and try something new. So no they don't sell Coors and thank God they don't!!! They support local brewers and they have a great selection of Pacific Northwest brews and the crowd is very fun!
Review Source:Excellent beer choices.
Great prices.
Friendly staff.
They've recently opened the patio, so there's more seating. The owners are super friendly guys and the beer and wine selections have something for everyone. I don't live in Spokane anymore, and have been here 3 times. The guys already know my name! If you're in town, it's definitely worth the drive up the hill!
I am not sure if I was mistaken in the name when I posted this or if it already changed names but it is called the hop shop not hop hounds.
Awesome south hill location with about 8 beers on tap. Â They are all good IPA style (mostly) micobrews from the area. Â They the staff Andy and (Glen?) are very knowledgeable about the beers they serve. Â They also have a great selection of wines by the glass. Â
There is no food and the decor is pretty plain, but the space is nice. Â It got pretty crowded and they have only been open a week. Â It is a weird strip mall location but it is the closest place to where I currently live. Â
$4 pints and glasses of wine.
