I'm not sure why I thought the Landisville location would be all that much different from the Fruitville Pike store.
The pizza is meh. The toppings (onion and olive for us) were great. The cheese and sauce taste like stuff bought at Sam's club - just cheap stuff. The crust is fairly awful.
The fries are completely different than the Fruitville Pike location. The disco fries (gotten free through checking in here on Yelp) were actually pretty darn good. I don't want to like them as I'm sure they are awful for me, but I do.
Overall, I'm not rushing to come back. And if I do, I'm getting take out. It's downright weird to eat in here. The air conditioning kept dripping on our table from the ceiling.
I was staying overnight in the area and Hot Z Pizza ended up being a good place for a beer and a bite. Â The outdoor seating is good on a nice night, and the food is good (nothing special, but good bar food). Â The waitresses seem a bit frazzled when they have to cover tables both inside and outside, but they were pleasant and the beer selection was good. Â A previous Yelp review put me in the mood for the chicken parm sandwich and the small was good enough for a snack, but I think I easily could have polished off the large. Â Given the area's other lackluster options, I will definitely go back.
Review Source:My husband and I have been trying steak strombolis at various local establishments. Â Hot Z's is the best we have found yet. Â We got a large - it was definately large. Loaded with plenty meat onions and cheese. Â Sauce (two containers of it) were on the side. Â There was plenty of sauce. Â Meat, onions and cheese were evenly dispersed throughout, even in the ends. Â If you are hungry for a steak stromboli, we would highly recommend going to Hot Z's.
Review Source:Simply a memorable visit needs a posting worth every cent. I was down here to speak to a Mayoral candidate and his dealings with the communities not just the city of Lancaster. We drank some beer, he ordered up a whiz bang drink for me to try. And with all this came an order for a Stromboli. The food was served hot in a very pleasant atmosphere, place setting prep was more then adequate to fit any persons delight and spice. My glass never went empty before another was next to it waiting for me.
Very  impressive display of quality, friendly, energetic to serve wait staff. I am hooked I will be back !
I have ordered from Hot Z Landisville more than 10 times. Every time, the service has been prompt and the food delicious. Â Their salads are so tasty, with fresh romaine instead of lifeless iceberg lettuce. The Greek and Chef salads never disappoint. The house dressing is mouth-watering, so you might want to order an extra serving.

We ended up here totally unexpectedly after a trip to Adamstown without a hotel reservation left us with no place to stay. We ended up finding lodging at a local motel and walked across to Hot Z for cocktails.
We were definitely impressed with the drink menu after a otherwise stressful day.
We had already eaten so we didn't try the food, but the bartenders knew what they were doing and we left there with an excellent buzz (we walked back to the motel) and lots of new drinks under our belts.
My stars reflect the quality of the drinks and service at the bar. We'll try the pizza next time we're in Columbia.
