Huddle House

What exactly do you expect from a place that feels like an awkward rip-off of the waffle house?  I really had no idea, but I was in Shelbyville, was a little hungry, and craving some breakfast at 2 in the afternoon.

I walk in, grab a menu, and see them bragging about the waffles, which is based on a "secret recipe."  Yeah, whatever; but it's cheap and pretty big, so I ordered one.

And I can say with some certainty that it's the best waffle I ever had.  Good flavor, nice butter and syrup, not too nutty.  I was very pleased.

Now the people behind the counter were a little slow, the dress code for employees apparently required high levels of trashiness, and the place still felt very much like a Waffle House.  So, based on the experience, and the admittedly awesome waffle, it's definitely worth a shot if you've stumbled into Shelbyville.
