The Chinese food here is really tasty and very inexpensive. I'm  a vegetarian and ordered several things veggie only. All were very good! My friends who dined with me ordered hamburgers and fries and they were sorely disappointed when my food arrived. Their "American" fare was terrible. The burgers tasted like cardboard and the the fries were greasy. I ended up sharing my food with them because the portions were generous.
It's a tiny little place in the middle of NOWHERE. It's an "oasis" in one of the most desolate places I've ever been. Who would've ever imagined a Chinese restaurant in the middle of the desert, but it's there and it's parking lot was full the day we rolled in.
Definitely worth stopping in to eat good Chinese food. DO NOT order the burgers and fries. Stick with the Chinese offerings and you'll be happy you did!
This is the only Chinese restaurant (and one of only 2 restaurants) in Niland, CA. Â For being out in the middle of nowhere, the food is actually not bad. Â We ordered the lunch specials - mongolian beef (very spicy and a good flavor), sweet and sour chicken, and mixed vegetables. Â All of these meals were good, and the prices were reasonable at $6 per lunch special. Â I made the mistake of ordering a hamburger and fries - it was OK, but they put some kind of processed cheese on it rather than real cheese. Â I would recommend sticking with the Chinese menu here.
