Unfortunate. Â We had been to the Ice House on numerous occasions prior to their relocation. Â Some things have changed and they are not the kind of changes that should happen to a restaurant. Â
There are limited liquor offerings, service was suspect and the food was mediocre and needs flavor and the bartenders need some training. Â Parking is shared with a local golf course and a bit of a challenge.
We were in Marion for a short visit and were staying at the Hampton Inn...we looked through the recommended places to eat and decided on The Icehouse.....what a mistake!  I ordered the New York Strip and my partner ordered the Rib Eye....the waitress came to the table with two center cut steaks that were approximately 1/2 inch thick....these steaks did not resemble a NY steak or a Ribeye steak....we politely ate our steaks and let the waitress know that neither the manager nor the cook of the restaurant of knew their cuts of meat......We paid the price for quality cuts of meat but received a very inferior cut of meat which cost much less....I know that times are tough in this economy but they are really cutting corners to make a profit on people who don't  know the difference between good meat and inferior meat......This place STINKS!!!!!!  If you want a meal worth it's money, do not go here!!!!!
Review Source:The first reveiw on this place was more of the exception than the rule. Â We moved to this community 2 years ago, heard great things about this place, and having gone to it about 10 times, I can say the food is usually one of the best in town and the service is usually good. Â I would recommend this spot and will be back, probably tonight!
