If I'd known they didn't have a picture, I could have taken one but as it is, I don't even have leftovers because I've already eaten up every last bite of goodness that I brought home. Â
When I was in school in Marion, La Charreadas opened and during this visit, my friend said we should try Casa Brava. Â I believe it may be run by the same family; the quesadilla reallanas at least seemed as good as I remembered!!
Everything I had was so yummy and I had a huge portion! I would go back in a heartbeat if I'm back in town.
Can I just say how pleased I am to have found this place in Marion? We are lucky enough to have had authentic, home-cooked Mexican food a few times with some friends, and I am very pleased with how well Casa Brava represents the genre. The salsa is fresh, not too cilantro-heavy, and not too spicy for those who don't do spicy, but still tasty and with fresh chips. Excellent queso dip - again, milder, but with flavor. Have tried several dishes outside the standard chicken or beef burrito/taco/enchilada list and always been happy. Delicious chile colorado, very good fish tacos and other seafood based dishes, plenty of dishes with some heat from the chorizo or the sauces.
Atmosphere is modern and open, though nothing special, and can be a little cramped and public feeling if you get the wrong table. Wait staff if prompt and courteous, and the best ones can give good advice on the menu. Prices are reasonable for this area, especially for the quality of the food.
If you like authentic, with a large mix of traditional Tex-Mex dishes and some more unusual authentic ones, you can't go wrong here.
