K Bistro

We enjoyed a nice meal here on Valentine's Day.  

The Good:

-Beautiful presentation
-Food was unique, with wonderful, bold flavors.  The chef definitely knows what he's doing.  
-Desserts and salads.  My wife and I each tried a different choice, and these were the best parts of the meal.

The Okay:

-Our food was above warm, but certainly not hot.  
-Food was good, but not $60 good.  
-After we sat down, the waitress gave us half glasses of room temperature water and disappeared for 20 minutes.  
-My petite wife didn't get enough to eat.  She ate a snack when we got home!
-Overall, the service was very casual and our waitress knew little about the details of what was served.
-The chef (and owner) came out several times to greet people he knew.  But only people he knew.  This made us feel like outsiders.
-To reiterate what others have said, the atmosphere needs a little work, and maybe a little noise (like music).
-Empty tables near us sat uncleared of dirty dishes during our meal.  

I've heard from others that this is a great lunch place, and I intend to return for lunch soon.  I love having K Bistro here, and I hope they succeed, but I feel like they weren't quite ready to take on Valentine's Day.

I really like what they are trying to do here. Presentation was great. However food was warm, not hot. My wine glass had lint in it. Server was not familiar with the menu. I ordered the Pork Roulade and she asked me how I wanted the pork cooked. Really? It's pork, needs to be done. My husband had the Beef Bourguignon, which was full of fat and gristle. All the flavors were good, just not hot enough. Even the potatoes were cold.  I think serving on hot plates would make a difference. Putting warm sauces on cold plates just cools it down too quick. We will go again, but I hope they work through these issues.

They were fairly busy, but didn't seem that hectic. Nevertheless, or reservation wasn't honored and everything took a long time.

The food was pretty good. A bit pricey, but good.

The same can't be said about the atmosphere, unfortunately. The restaurant is very quiet making for a very self-conscious environment.

I'd revisit, but only if I knew the service would be decent.
