Against my threats of preferring self cannibalization, I was forcibly dragged back to Indys, and surprisingly, it wasn't terrible. Â My potato skins were not good, but I also got a pork tenderloin sandwich which was moderately tasty... A huge improvement over my previous visit. Â Thinking this was merely a fluke, I returned about a month later and ordered a Cowboy Melt and fries. Â It was actually good. Â I'm increasing my rating to three stars.
Review Source:Family friendly!
Stopped in for an evening meal. Â I ordered a daily special, Beef Tips on a bed of rice, smothered with mushroom gravy. Â A fresh salad and a side of corn completed the meal.
Great food, great service. Â Wait staff attentive and friendly. Â Nice layout, clean and comfortable. Â Booths and tables are available to accommodate your dining party.
A couple wall mounted TVs are available for your viewing pleasure.
Horrible. Decided to go here on our way to Bloomington to try something that wasn't a chain and I would rather go to long john silver's across the street.
I had the country breakfast, and the potatoes were under cooked and everything was sub par for even a diner. Bill was way too expensive for the quality of food we received.
Do not go here. Food is terrible.
GREAT RESTAURANT ON THE HIGHWAY! Â If you happen to be traveling through Indiana, near Indianapolis, maybe to Brown County State Park, get to Indy's for great food.
On the exterior, there is a big red sign that says INDY'S. Â Rather non descript. Â It looks like a regular local boring family restaurant from the outside.
Not so.
It happened to be Father's Day when we where in the area, we were starving and just chose the closest eatery which happened to be Indy's.
Their food is fresh fresh fresh. Â They were featuring Strawberry everything because fresh strawberries were in season, and did you ever get fresh strawberries. Â I ordered a Veggie Omelet that was so fresh, cooked to perfection and not greasy. Â It was the best omelete I've ever ordered. And huge. Â Everything on the menu was excellent. Â The staff was so friendly, the restaurant was very busy, the service was top shelf. Â You could tell that the workers love their job. Â The owner stopped by our table. Â His wife was the Hostess. Â The nicest couple, Dennis and Jill. Â He worked in the restaurant industry in New York and LA area. Â His experience shows in every detail at their restaurant. Â He's had the restaurant for 3 years. Â The only thing I would change is the Exterior Sign. Â Dennis said it would cost 50k to replace so I guess it's staying for a while. Â People drive from Bloomington to eat here.
