Inhale Hookah Lounge

Fun place.  There aren't a lot of choices of activities between1am-4am this far from Chicago, especially that don't involve drinking or being irresponsible.  This was a great place to kick back and catch up with an old friend, albeit on a sofa that is located inside a hookah smoking establishment.  The bathroom needs a redo for sure.

World's worst petting zoo. Seriously, this place is for degenerate high schoolers and lost souls. The hookah was really terrible flavors, but I guess you get what you pay for. People acting like animals all over the place. You could not pay me to use the bathroom there, filthy dirty. The space is small, not well ventilated (smoke everywhere, cigarette smoke, too) and I came home smelling like I had rolled around in burning garbage. The couches were gross, the people next to us were crossing the line between killing each other and having sex on the couch, it was very weird. I would say only go here if you like looking at Affliction shirts and places that look like you could get a back-alley abortion.

To me a traditional hookah lounge is somewhere there are lots of people, there are pillows and lots of sitting on the floor. They usually go one of two ways, very Mediterranean/middle eastern or some weird form of 90's head shop hosting a rave gone bad.  This one being the latter. The place is dingy, not well ventilated for a hookah lounge, there are these old cheap chairs, tile floors and particle wood panelling for walls. There is one really bad graffiti piece that i could not get over. i just couldn't believe a business owner would let someone do that i their establishment. it was so tacky. The music was more for some high school burn outs. It was a horrible mix of boy band meets faux ska punk and was blaring over the speakers and continuously skipping. the most annoying thing when you are trying to have a conversation. I can say though, that the owner said he just opened and is remodeling next month, and he does have really clean smooth hookahs. Great flavors and the owner was really hospitable and such a nice guy. I will check back in a couple if months to see how the remodeling has changed the ambience.
