After a 20 minute drive out of the woods, we arrived at a thin slice of civilization, to have breakfast before our drive home.
Our discussion about where was short and to the point; aside from there not being too many other places to chose from, there was what looked like to be, a new IHOP right in front of us.
Yeah, the IHOP-A-Holic here (me) won the day in that discussion.
We were seated promptly, though the place was packed to the rafters full (again, there is that civilization thing again. Drive east 5 minutes and you're in the woods, dark and deep...). Our orders taken by Mayor Menino, drinks served and we waited for the backed up kitchen to bring us our more gooder breakfast.
The XYL opted for their AYCE pancakes, while I stayed with my tried and true favorite, their country fried steak breakfast.
The pancakes were plate filling and according to the XYL very good. My CFS was large, and very hot. Soft scrambled eggs and hash browns finished off my choices (along with a biscuit instead of toast).
We both had hot, well prepared food. Good service.
This IHOP has a Seniors menu (and discount) and honors the Vetrans/Military discount (20% today).
I am a IHOP-A-Holic. I am biased, I guess. But, if I was eating off of a shingle, or sitting in a booth at IHOP, good food is good food.
Recommended.

This iHop is a bit hard to find, a little bit hidden behind a newish motel.
Actually, this iHop is also extremely new. The inside was clean, and it was pretty empty when dad and I arrived at around 4pm on a Friday.
The menu has improved vastly since the last time I was at iHop about four years ago, I ordered the Nutella Crepes, and I received four smallish crepes, and I was still kinda hungry afterward. I wish I had ordered the harvest grain pancakes, or whatever they were called.
Other than that, our service was very good.
