Go for the drinks the food.....not too much

As I walked into the pub on valentines day, I wondered why there was no line. Where were the people looking to celebrate the night? We had passed up 4 other restaurants due to 2 hour waiting times. Where was everyone?
 Simple.
They were at other restaurants getting actual customer service and not being robbed blindly.
 This night in particular, there was a special being offered of an appetizer, two entrees, and a dessert. After waiting 10 minutes and finally getting some beers and an appetizer ( the Irish crisp/fries) practically thrown at us, we eventually were asked what entree we wanted with our valentine's meal special. I went with the blackened salmon, bf went with the sirloin. I asked about a side of boxtys.
Don't do that. They'll treat it like the most special order, then tell you how they won't ever do it again and you should feel DARN privileged that they did it in the first place. Our server made that clear.

His steak was decent. Nicely cooked to his preference and moist.
My blackened salmon was... Not.
Where there was moisture in the steak, there was dehydration in the salmon. I enjoy salmon and have had many dishes at this restaurant. I shrugged it off (even though it was slow) and tried to save it with some malt vinegar. Didn't work.
It absorbed the liquid and remained awful.
When the server finally appeared I explained how unpleasant the salmon was. He repeatedly asked me to say what was wrong with it, went to get a manager, 5 minutes later the shift manager appeared and did more damage than the fish! After explaining about the number of salmon dishes that had gone out with no complaints, he asked me again "what exactly was wrong with it"  
At this point he said he would take it off.
Please bear in mind that I have now eaten half an order of fries, some veggies and had a beer.
How much would you say that's worth?
 
Apparently it's "8.95"
Oh no. Wait, that's all he was able to take off.  $8.95. (Salmon lists on the menu for $11.95)
I didn't even eat my entree, but I was charged $28 for a side of veggies fries and a small steak.
 Oh but that's alright, because the shift manager gave us two free desserts. Never mind the fact that one of them was included in the 36.95 original special.  When I asked about the total, he made another excuse about how he was doing me a favor.
  Let me get this straight.
Poor food.

You argue with customers & then practically rob them.

 No wonder you were slow on one of the biggest, busiest nights in the winter food service season. After being a loyal patron for many years, I will never come back to this restaurant. The food quality has become so poor, I would save the money and cook myself a high quality meal with high quality ingredients. I would save myself and my wallet the angst of arguing with managers and servers ungrateful for my patronage.
  I leave you with the failed attempt at a joke  this shift manager tried to use to lighten the mood.
 " can I get anything else for you? Need that beer to go?".  
  Oh no, you and your careless, lackadaisical attitude have done enough.

( I have tried to get past Yelp's filter, but apparently they refuse to show how bad the service is at this place. I hope you read the filtered reviews and see how many stars are under 3.)

This was one of the first places we tried after moving to Dville. The atmosphere was great and the food was amazing! We also had a great server. They mentioned on their menu that they plan to add a brunch sometime soon. I really hope they do. We will be back!
