My husband and I came here on St. Patty's Day. I liked the decor and there were some good beer choices. We ordered fish and chips and Shepard's pie for our dinner. I'm not sure if meals are normally served on Styrofoam plates with plastic silverware, but it was the only negative side to the meal. The food was surprisingly good and same with the service. Despite being busy with the crowd, 2 waiters stopped by frequently to check on us. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and we will come back.
Review Source:Since my last review, they've started offering specials, or I've started noticing them. I've had some dang good specials in here at lunch, from chicken pot pie, to braised short ribs.
Their latest lunch trick though, is a $5 lunch special. A few places in town are trying this out after years of increasing lunch prices. Unlike Porto fino's $5 special, this one doesn't seem to suffer on portion size.
I had the club wrap and fries, which was very tasty. My only complaint was the wrap. It's pretty thick and stays kind of doughy which sticks in your teeth. Perhaps steaming the wrap, or a thinner one would be better.
My lunch companion has the Pub melt and fries. This appeared to be a grilled ham cheese sandwich, and I ask you, how can you go wrong with that? He said it was pretty good, and would get it again.
