The rooms were very spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The shower, restroom, and room were very clean. My only complaint is that the entire hotel/casino including my room which was on the 3rd floor wreaked of cigarette smoke! I actually woke up in the morning with a really bad sinus infection because of it. If you are sensitive to cigarette/cigar smoke or have small children then I would not recommend this place.
Review Source:They lost their HARD Rock Cafe Franchise. Even worse, they rig speed traps just before you leave the casino to enter I-40 north and ticket anyone going over 45 in an area suitable for 55 MPH or more. Consider this, if they rig speed traps, what are the odds they rig their slots? Â
Don't go near this place. They suck anyway.
Went recently to see a Johnny Cash tribute band at the casino's showroom and had to leave after just 15 minutes because of the cigarette smoke pouring in from the adjoining casino.
If you have any sensitivity or allergy to cigarette smoke stay away! Even though smoking isn't allowed inside the showroom the smoke coming in through the open doors is unbearable.
It's a shame this showroom wasn't better designed because it seemed like a really good show but was unenjoyable  due to the casino smoke.
I recently stayed at the Isleta Resort. The resort is beautiful with a wonderful, wonderful interpretation of Southwest decor. So modern and great, clean lines. Not to mention being surrounded by beautiful New Mexico.
Beds are nice, that's super important.
Walls are thin, thin, thin. I could hear everything going on in the room next to mine.
Housekeeping was not that great. No plastic wrap over the glasses, so you don't know if they really washed them. They give you only two towels. Of course, you can request more. The hard water marks in the bottom weren't encouraging. Items that were clearly trash, like food wrappers, were not disposed of. Sure, I can do it myself, and it didn't kill me to do so, either. However, I am not paying $200/night a to do it myself.
The hotel is decorated nicely, but it looks like it needs some touch ups, especially on the wood counters in the rooms. They look worn.
Wifi is horrid. You can't stream anything, even on low quality settings. There appear to be many new staff members whose training was perhaps not complete. That might correct itself over time.
Only 1 staff member at the welcome desk on a Saturday night? Wrong.
Food at the restaurants is not impressive at all.
Bottom line - this place was just ok. I was expecting a lot more for my money. Probably my biggest pet peeve was the Wifi. I should mention this was not a vacation trip for me.
This Isleta Complex has an RV Park, casino, several restaurants within that casino, and a bowling alley.
Every time we come to ABQ we stay at this RV Park. Â It's situated on a couple lakes that are open to the public for fishing. Very popular.
Sites are large and private with WiFi that is not very strong. But VZ gets a great signal here. The park takes no reservations and the laundry room is only open at certain hours, not 24/7 like most parks.
I think maintenance is lacking a bit since our last visit. Weeds need to be cut and trash in the cans need to be emptied each morning. Â I also don't see anyone cleaning up sites after a camper leaves. Â
You are right next to the Railrunner and Amtrak line so you are frequently alerted to them coming through and for the Railrunner, making a stop. It seems railroad tracks and RV parks go hand-in-hand in the great USA.
We ate at a couple of their casino restaurants and really liked the Bowtie the best. Friendly servers and good buffet food, albeit a small buffet.
A huge RV Park with plenty of spaces. Â We happened to arrive on the last day of the Balloon Festival, so the price for a night was $10 more than normal. We paid $47 to stay in an RV park with a railroad track running 100 yards from our site, so close you could feel the vibrations as the train went by. Â We got to listen to trains and their whistles all night long. Â Also, for as large a park as it was, the laundry facilities were sorely lacking. Â There was a total of 3 washing machines, one of which was broken, and three small dryers. Â The office and store closed at 5pm, the laundry closed up at 4, which didn't leave much time for anything, even if you arrived early afternoon. Â We will not be returning. Â What a disappointment, especially for the price.
Review Source:Several of us went here December 14th, 2009 before seeing The Brian Setzer Orchestra.  We were seated immediately and the waiter was very friendly.  The place was near empty but as we sat, it filled up quickly.  40 minutes after our order was placed I realized that no one was eating in the joint nor could I locate our waiter who seemed to have disappeared.  I contacted a manager who personally went to get our food, which  by now was cold, the order was incomplete, no one refilled our drinks for 45 minutes etc.  I wrote out a comment card and fully expected some type of compensation, but NOTHING was taken off.  SAVE YOUR MONEY AND HASSLE, SKIP IT.
Review Source:Went here for the first time a few days ago. Â It feels like the place has a smaller casino in comparison to Sandia, but still a fun place to gamble your pay check away. Â The bulk of their card tables are in the middle of the casino with minimums ranging from 3 to 10 dollars. Â I was able to transform my $20 to $50, but quickly lost that. Â Such is the way of gambling! Â The staff are very friendly, and helpful. Â I found the buffet to be tolerable as well. Â Its quite small, and a far cry from a Vegas buffet, but the variety of food and price were acceptable. Â They also have a cafe next door to the buffet, and a few other restaurant choices towards the confrence center portion of the resort.
I think Isleta's real value lies in how well rounded the place is. Â It has a casino, but it also has an indoor swimming pool/jacuzzi, various shops and restaurants in the conference center area, and a spa with some of the nicest folks you can find. Â The spa was having a special the day my friend and I visited the resort. Â The special was too good to pass up, so we took advantage of a half hour massage, and the sauna. Â Worth every penny I tell you! Â First rate spa! Â If you don't want to gamble, at least come here for the spa! Â You won't regret it!
The casino itself also has some very beautiful architecture to admire in the lobby, and the parking lot lay out isn't as confusing as some other casinos I've been to.
