The food was good! I ordered chicken parm and my boyfriend had a veal dish, both were tasty. The service was good (although it did take a while to get the check) and friendly. They had a good selection of draft beers. We will definitely be back.

Food and service was excellent. Accommodated our large party, and the waitress was very kind and attentive.

We had the 'snacks' outdoors during a break on our visit to the seaport.  Perfect for the occasion.

I like The Ivory...  It's a fun place with a large selection on the menu and they usually have some tasty specials too.  It's typically a hard decision.  I've had a couple good steaks but don't recall if they were specials or menu items.   The bar is a lively place on the weekend with live music on some nights and a good selection of cocktails.

Stopped here on the way home from Gillette Castle, and were leery when we approached the building.

What a pleasant surprise!  The food here is excellent, and the portions extremely reasonable.  Whole family was happy with what we got, and look forward to coming back again on our next trip.

I only went there for dinner because some guys from the marina suggested we go there. I had been there for lunch quite a few years ago and not been impressed so I wasn't expecting much.

Big surprise. Some what similar to Applebee's but better in a unique way.

I had the Sword fish special. Really good. Prices were similar to the chains. Dinner for 3 with tax and tip was $105.00 No desert but we all had alcohol. Entrees were $15 - $25.00. They also had sandwiches and burgers for a little less than $10.00

I was there on a Sunday night, fairly late so the place was quite, and service was great.

I am looking forward to my next visit.

New owners since our last visit... and...What an improvement! Had a nice lunch today- sandwiches made with fresh ingredients- one chicken special and one ruben. Very generous portions. Only complaint, need wait staff. The bartender had to run around the dining room taking orders while tending to her bar customers...it was tough on the employee and made the service less than desirable. However, we will return soon. Look forward to another great meal.

If you are looking for AWESOME lobster bisque this is the THE place.

If you are looking for a casual, neighborhood restaurant and pub this is a good choice.  It isn't anything fancy, but the food is good and consisitently so for the staple menu items.  There are even a few surprises on the specials menu, so they are worth trying.

If you like live music on Friday and Saturday nights, this is a great option too.  They usually start around 9pm.  SO, for those that don't want the loud music and rather site, eat and chat, while there are other areas around the restaurant you can venture, be warned it does get loud as it is a small place.

They have a large screen TV in the bar area with a nice fireplace during the cold winter.

Don't judge the place from the outside, this is a safe place if you are looking for a casual, low-key outing for food and drink.

Don't be fooled by the bland exterior - the place has a real chef and the food is great.  We live locally and always enjoy a delicious meal by the cozy fireplace.  And you have the try the chile rellenos, they are awesome!

So, after getting lost and ending up in Deep River, CT, we ended up here.

And, fortunately for me, dinner was delicious!   We ordered the fried calamari as the appetizer;  fish and chips and the teriyaki burger were the entrees.  The fried calamari came out hot and it was crispy.  Yum!  There was also fried banana peppers thrown in to spice it up.

Our entrees were also gratifying.  The fish was moist and crispy.  The fries was typical nothing special about fried potatoes here.  The burger was def. juicy and the arugula helped cut the fattiness of the burger.

The dessert does seem like it came "out of a box" but it was still delicious nevertheless.

Tried here after the Essex steam train and everyone was happy.  Not super heart-friendly (as I was with my dad who ended up with London Broil), but definitely yummy.  The kids were very welcomed by the staff and the adults and kids all liked their food.
